I’m looking at importing some business stock from Ireland. I havent done this since we left the EU.
I was wondering if anyone on here is in the business of importing/freight forwarding etc? As I could do with someone experienced in this helping.
Or if anyone imports and they can recommend someone.
Strange thread I know.

According to mr coke it is much easier than pre Brexit! According to my mate who's been driving a van full of stuff from Poland half a dozen times a year for about 7 years it's an absolute nightmare. The irony is he voted for Brexit (despite living in Poland), is one of those that watches GBeebies and tends to fall for the dog whistles 🤦 We don't discuss politics much nowadays 😀

Appendix 193.2 of Mr Coke's 253rd Brexit summary dated 3rd January 2023 will provide you with all the answers. If you give that a read and then assume the opposite is true, it should leave you in good stead for importing something from the EU.

Thanks for the replies. It’s an awful lot more complicated than it used to be.
If anyone does successfully import/know a company that can help with the freight and import process, then do drop me a message.

If anyone does successfully import/know a company that can help with the freight and import process, then do drop me a message. Does the company not have a presence in Northern Ireland at all? As its an open border between Ireland and NI here. So if they had a NI presence too or office then could it not just be like gb to gb trade?
