www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-inter-miami-transfer-8944549"Inter Miami left-back Noah Allen is reportedly in England for a two-week trial with Stoke City and Burnley.Allen, aged 19, has broken into the Inter Miami team alongside Lionel Messi in the last few months, starting 14 MLS games and being used as a substitute in a further five. He will have previously worked with Stoke legend and current Stoke youth coach Ryan Shawcross, who ended his playing career and started his coaching career in Miami. He would need a wild card visa if he was to join Stoke. Since last summer, the club is allowed to sign up to four players from overseas who would not have qualified for a permit under previous rules. Alex Neil currently has Enda Stevens as his first choice left-back and Jordan Thompson, Lynden Gooch, Junior Tchamadeu and Ki-Jana Hoever have filled in that role over the last couple of months."Anyone seen this kid play? playing alongside Messi currently

Seemed cool going forward but not much in the way of defending in that clip? At 19 maybe for the 21s?

He's not likely to get anywhere near the first team, though, is he? Why? Young exciting and foreign? A fucking nightmare cocktail for this club.

He's not likely to get anywhere near the first team, though, is he? Why? Because our manager would rather play an over the hill, shit slow full back instead of the young up and coming fullback we already have on our books.

Little known fact. It’s Joe Allen’s younger brother. And also Keith Allen is his Uncle. Obvs Lilly is his cousin.
No relation to biblical Noah (of arch fame)

I have always had an interest in the MLS and after Beckham set up his franchise (with Shawcross ending up there) I began following IM. Allen is a really bright, young talent. Good going forward, slightly suspect in transition, and quite raw. He does not really stand out to me as someone who would be signed and thrust straight into the starting 11 at Stoke. However, he is definitely someone with lots of potential.

A lot of his passes seemed to be mishit or not struck cleanly but ended up with his own player and that's his highlight reel! He did play a few nice passes! Seemed to have a lot of time on the ball, not in the accepted good way, not much press? Physically not very big, 175 cms! Worse than Josh Tymon?
Do the stats indicate his passing isn't very progressive? Doesn't take a man on? Few assists! I don't know what the stats mean but look poor?
Guess we'll find out!

Can't see a problem with this. If he's used to knocking balls up to Messi then he should easily adapt to playing with Johnson and Gayle.

Not a good fit - doesn't seem to understand about passing backwards - would really mess with Alex's style.

Stevens needs dropping when he serves his suspension and replaced by Junior or Gooch. Stevens is awful - no pace, negative on and off the ball, gets caught out of position time after time, can't beat a man to save his life and legs are going. Made no sense that we got rid of Tymon, who yes, had flaws in his game, but was much more proactive and had some quality and work rate about him. Same goes for the other full back role too, where our young player Jr (who has looked class Everytime he's been given a chance, solid defensively, has quality on the ball and has a great engine on him) is behind a loan player (Dyson) who is defensively suspect and has no real loyalty to us, and a journeyman type who has looked bang average at best, particularly when shoe horned in at full back (Gooch).

Many dismiss it who of course never watch it when of course The Championship is hardly full of quality Personally prefer watching the MLS, tidy football and better refs

Do well in our academy and then slowly introduce him to the first team next season. Wouldn't be one who could slot straight in at left back.
