Way past time our club stopped being so narrow minded with manager appointments. Any one that does any good, even if only for a few seasons has a foreign coach. Then at least there's a decent foundation to build on. We are stuck in the proverbial football middle ages. We need someone like Nuno Espirito Santo. Whether you like Wolves or not he did a fantastic job for a good few years. He surely could do no worse than our recent appointments have done. I for one think he'd get this lot playing to their potential.

Karim Benzema got him the sack. Wanted his own manager in and basically downed tools till he got his way.

I'm not sure, I think he had the perfect thing for him at Wolves with the Portuguese contingent and a fuck load of money. He probably wouldn't even give us a second thought anyway.

Likely to get an offer from a bigger club in Europe I'd imagine.

I think the new Argentinian president would be a better manager than AN let alone the 2 you've mentioned above. He'd be crazier than Boskamp 😆

Whatever happens, its going to require thinking outside the box. Thats something our ownership don't seem to do. Thinking at all is a rareity it seems.

this is the exact type of thinking that see's us in the shit every 12-18 months.
Nuno is another yesterday's man, what we need to do is actually go out and do some hard work in finding the next up and coming manager.
Not another (never)has been whose best days are long gone.

I’d have a go at tempting Liam Rosenior from Hull. I think he’s a really bright, engaging young manager. The problem is, our club is in such a malaise at the moment I’ve got little to no faith in any manager turning us around.

Didnt we try this with Nathan Jones? Weve tried proven managers (Rowett and Neil) and an up an comer in Jones There is something else wrong behind the scenes These managers have done well at previous clubs and Rowett and Jones did a fair job at Millwall and Luton

The bloke is batshit crazy.

Valencia, Wolves, Porto, Tottenham and a ludicrous paycheck in Saudi…..of course, Stoke is the obvious next step for him 😂

If Man City's sanctions happen, we could do worse than try for Pep.
No, hear me out...
1. He could stay living in Cheshire
2. He could bring his backroom team with him.
3. We could be a project, after all Man City were shit once.
4. Number 1. again

We need to adopt the Brighton approach. When they lose a manager, key player, etc, they have several equal or higher quality replacements.
All we seem to do is rehash the same old names and faces.
Any upcoming manager with a modicum of talent has no chance when the likes of Bruce, fat Sam, Pardew and the like keeping hanging about.

Any manager worth his salt will only have to look at the poisonous fan base, it's so toxic is pulses.
You'd have to be desperate, even I'd think twice.
I think they should hire a few stokie experts next off this very board

Toxic supporter alert, I think Bayern Oatcake should get the job, I'm spoilt for choices for assistants. The knowledge on here of the best starting lineups and how players should be coached also far exceeds anything established successful managers can achieve, it's an untapped market

I think they should hire a few stokie experts next off this very board Having witnessed first hand the tactical masterclass after going down to ten men on Tuesday night, a thousand or so away fans did not turn toxic. In fact, even though the last half an hour of that game was frankly, heart wrenching and soul destroying, there wasn't a toxic utterance between us. We're not a toxic fan base.

People say this board is representative of the fan base, it's so toxic it pulses. I've read pearls of wisdom on here since Tuesday night that suggest certain people just want a team that are up for a battle. Yet after going down to 10 men and taking the lead the players fatigued through putting so much effort in they ran out of steam. That's not a bunch of half arsed players not playing for the manager. If we change and do a brum although it'll piss me off I believe it's called just deserts We'd have won that game with 11 men, no doubt.

No they don't, I've only seen the opposite of that, most Stokies aren't on here as it's not the best representation of the fan base.
