Would he be a long term answer though??? Long term answers rarely exist in football anymore. True, but I mean longer than 4 months!!!

Mark robins would be a great choice...the probability that he or anybody else, would have been able to replace gyokeres and hamer with better at Coventry was about zero...he would have amazed everyone in football if he had pulled that off . He is a good manager, who has done well in less than ideal circumstances. He is the obvious choice. For a controversial choice, I would be happy with Joey Barton on a one year contract. He would have impact and change things... whether for the better or worse I have no idea...but he would at least try and put a stop to Stoke players being comfortable almost to the point of sleep walking. He would be more kick ass than AN and MoN . Someone has got shake things up, because everything is so boringly predictedable and softly softly at the moment, it's hard to see anything other than more of the same. We need to gamble, because we have become truly dull and predictable. We are getting to the point where life long fans can't be arsed to come to the game anymore. It’s been manager after manager with the same dull approach with AN being the latest dullest of dullest managers the blokes an absolute nut job spouting his crap. Beyond a joke now that our dull owners can employ this type of manager time after time. Anyone that can employ Paul Lambert needs looking at I think it’s the only reason not to get rid because you just know they’d employ somebody of the same ilk. Their taste in football is decades out of date.

Positive, quick reaction needed by Coates family. Nothing else will do now. AN has a very clear modus operandi, a flurry of good results followed by a period of disorganised chaos. His tenure can be described clearly as ‘one step forwards and two steps back’. This has happened time and time again. Give a new manager a chance with two home games coming up v Wednesday and Swansea.

Out-of-work BritsJohn Eustace Chris Wilder Dean Smith Scott Parker Maybe(?) attractable decent in-work Champ optionsMark Robins Steven Schumacher Well-known out of work non-BritsRalph Hassenhuttl Jesse Marsch Giovanni van Bronckhorst Punts based on their nameJohn Terry Frank Lampard Lee Carsley was said to be under consideration for Birmingham - so maybe he could be an option, but he seems to have been linked with better options. theathletic.com/4945536/2023/10/10/birmingham-tom-brady-rooney-eustace/Eustace’s departure was met with shock and surprise by the players, who were not warned in advance of Birmingham’s official statement and only found out about his departure by reading about it online. They have been given no hint as to what comes next either, and no indication from the club that the appointment of Rooney is on the cards. The 43-year-old was well-liked and held in high regard by the players, who enjoyed his training sessions. He was said to be especially popular among the younger members in the squad. England Under-21 manager Lee Carsley was under consideration to replace Eustace but Rooney is now the leading candidate to take over following his departure from D.C. United on Saturday. Can't think of any lower-league options. And aren't knowledgeable to know of any options in Portugal, Belgium, Holland etc? Any come to mind?

If we could get Hassenhutl that would be one hell of an achievement. Always thought he was a very good manager with a very tough job at Southampton.

Substituting the best player on the pitch was the final straw for me .But you just know after investing so much into Neil and his backroom team unless we are in the bottom 3 he's going nowhere.

That's pretty much what I've been told also mate. But with the fans seemingly 90% gone, I don't see how the board can keep him much longer, regardless of how much they've invested in him. There's simply no way back. He's crap.

Doubtful Neil's going anywhere anytime soon, but you'd hope Ricky/Jared are quietly compiling a list of replacements, just in case the axe does drop.

I really can’t see how some people think this is better than the previous manager(s). Same old crap being churned out, how do we go from looking defensively solid during the unbeaten run and them few good wins hardly conceding, to shipping 7 goals in 2 games and 4 of them being at a side who’ve won 1 home game in over 12 months?! It’s pathetically predictable and yet another season starting in hope is completely dwindled out come November. Fucking sick of it

Your post suggested managers plural - my (not so) witty clip was saying we need just one (for now) ………. Got it
