Tried find a thread but couldn't.
With the winter nights gathering apace what's on TV worth watching?
Watching Rhod Gilbert on The Ch4 player on his journey on cancer.
1 in 2 will have cancer and having lost a family member to it well worth a watch.
That and of course Taskmaster also on tonight 😀
Best line so far from Greg Davies - He's a prick but he's a good mate

Been watching 'Banged up'
Filmed in Shrewsbury nick, did a tour around there a few years back.
A load of ex-cons and some celebrities in jail together, watched 2 of 4 so far, very interesting.

Farage will be great I’m sure of it. He’ll have to do all the challenges and he will breeze them to the point the daft public will love it. I hope they don’t make him jump out of a helicopter though after his plane crash near miss, that must haunt him a bit you’d think

I've been watching a few repeats of Mrs Merton on YouTube. An absolute pisser, forgot how funny it was. It wouldn't get past the woke brigade now though.
Caroline Aherne was a comedy genius.

Bath Farts with Fern Britton on Bravo is a must watch. Is that as dirty as it sounds. Just fern farting out a tune and you have to guess what song it is.

No shes in one bath and a guest like Judy Finnigan is in another. Each tries to fill a partially submerged water filled container with their own gases. You basically have to guess which one gets the job done and doesnt follow through first. Epic battle last week with Vanessa Feltz who had a total "brown out", cracking TV.

Rene Higuita documentary on Netflix is worth a go although the subtitles are quite fast!
There's interviews with Valderrama, Jeorge Campos etc and quite interesting seeing how mental Columbia was back then.

Think it's still pretty dodgy but the 90s were off the charts mental. The Pablo Escobar documentary on Netflix too I think shows how crazy it was.

Binge watching Life on Mars and the Ashes to Ashes sequel on BBC Iplayer . Saw them when first released earlier this century but they are well worth a rewatch. The Gene Hunt, played by Phil Glenister, one liners are absolute gems and Keeley Hawes is brilliant ….in fact all the acting is superb imo.

There's interviews with Valderrama, Jeorge Campos etc and quite interesting seeing how mental Columbia was back then. I had some personal experience of Escobar's far reaching influence. I was on a frigate in early 80s assisting US Coast Guard and we stopped a drug running coaster in the Caribbean off Belize. After boarding & searching we found tons of marijuana & cocaine, arrested the crew and awaited the arrival of the Belize police to take them ashore. A week or so later 4 of us from the boarding party were summonsed to appear in court as key witnesses in Belize city. When we arrived it was announced that the court case had been dropped because 3 of the crew had been murdered when on bail and the rest had vanished. Escobar was a hero in Colombia providing money for schools, hospitals etc but, of course, it was all money from his criminal activities hence the FBI taking him out in 1993. He was so awash with cash that he allegedly burnt $2m in order to keep his daughter warm when the family was on the run evading capture.

Thing is, if the state doesn't provide things like hospitals and schools people will support anyone who does. Even gangsters like Escobar

As much Mortimer and Whitehouse as possible. Love it. Bob Mortimer just makes me laugh looking at him. Very underrated performer. Hollow Crown on BBC iplayer is a fantastic watch with a galaxy of stars on display. Incredible acting. Watch with subtitles and the Shakespeare becomes a bit easier to understand and get your head around.
