Just watching forest-villa. How small is the forest pitch, the amount of grass on that one side. Looks smaller than any pulis-esque stoke pitch!

However when the cameras zoom in you can see that the grass is quite long and could be described by golfers as "semi rough".
In my days of local football I don't recall the pitches like this. Often they were mud baths with no grass at all.

Often they were mud baths with no grass at all. I remember being on the Stoke pitch when we got promoted. As I recall it was like a bloody green carpet. Compared to some of the shyte that my lad plays on in grass roots football they are absolutely perfect.

Often they were mud baths with no grass at all. When Pele went to the Cosmos, they painted the bare patches with green paint to make it look like there was grass on it. They did play on a pitch under a flyover at the time
