Contrary to popular belief I think Gayle with Haks and Leris either side is an interesting combination. Gayle is an intelligent player, we havnt used him.playing with decent players yet Christ above I’ll have what you’re drinking

Squad rotation, 3 games in quick succession. Interesting line up utter rubbish , you play your better players against the better teams , Laurent for Burger is a shit decision, so is Gayle ahead of Wes , i understand resting the players coming back from injury but them two are atrocious decisions In your opinion, there is a reason he's the manager and you're not, for a start he knows these players better than any of us do. You've only got to dig out the over reaction in any matchday starting line up thread, it doesn't matter who he picks the closet haters are first in with a boot

I was looking forward to seeing Vidigal v Silva today..prior to signing Vidigal I wanted us to sign Silva after seeing him play a big role in the 6-1 A league final in sydney. Not sure either are playing

Where is Ryan Mmaee? Again I reckon it’s a case of not having 2 of the same striker on the bench. Mmaee and Gayle are similar in that they both play off the shoulder or spin inside. No point having the same player on the bench because if it isn’t working you aren’t going to swap like for like Makes perfect sense given how successful Gayles Stoke career has been. Wouldn't possibly need another option.

The lads gave 110% v Leeds, it'll take its toll, simple as that

I’m expecting a Haks, Leris, Gayle press…..could work.
Plenty of options on the bench.
After the last two results you have to trust AN.

I think he has set himself up for some abuse if we don't perform, if we get a result, he will rightly be entitled to all the plaudits. Wouldn't say I was confident, but let's see what happens.

Gayle hasn’t even made the bench the last 2 games and just comes out of nowhere to start, bizarre He's been to an AI clinic and injected with super goalscoring serum!

Where is the build up play going to come from in that midfield? I see a gaping hole forming between the midfield 3 and the forward line.

I doubt it, obliterated confidence maybe, at 31 a prolific goalscorer doesn't forget how to score goals. Any goalscorer would have had their confidence battered playing in the team we've 'previously' had. He needs a goal or two granted, hopefully today

I have to say that I read the Oatcake on a regular basis, but I very seldom post. A good deal of my posts have been about Gayle. Mostly of the horror show variety. But somehow, today, I think there might be an interesting formula here. Gayle to score at least one (from inside the six-yard box). And us to get a penalty. Among other things, Neil might put Gayle in to take some of the noise away from young Jack (who is going to have a cracking game) COYMP

I don’t usually like to comment on the team until the game has finished, as surprises quite often happen. I will be MAJORLY surprised if that starting XI managed to get anything.

Very sensible again from AN. Players returning from injury not being asked to cope with 3 games a week. Youngsters who are new to the club being given time to settle.

Alex has four more points than anyone thought out of these three fixtures…..so this is a free hit and the line up smacks of it.
