Yesterday I looked around online for a pair of indoor sport shoes, since I will start with neck and back exercises at the gym with my physiotherapist on Wednesday.
I found a pair called Adidas Ligra 7 and another pair called Hummel Root Elite II.
Historically when it comes to brands Reebook have always been good for my feet, and Adidas perhaps.
Before at gym I've always used black leather one's typically designed for gym or walking. This time I might go for something white or blue. The two mentioned shoe models above are meant typically for table tennis, handball etc.
Any recommendations?

Always wore Asics for any sport as they usually have a wide fit so not to squeeze my foot and good stability For the last 12months ive been wearing Barefoot shoes to allow every muscle and sinu freedom to move. So impressed i bought 3 pairs. i dont care what people think, i use them inside and out the house. .. only seen 1 other person in uk wearing them so far. During my trip to Florida this summer i saw quite a few wearing them, mainly people from the far east. Opens up your toes and gets muscles working that have not been used for decades. Barefoot

They were fantastic, he said. So far I only have toe socks.

Thanks! Interesting. My old man used to have a shoe called Earth Shoes in cold weather. They were fantastic, he said. forgot to say, takes a week for your foot to gradually build up wearing them constant and just throw them into the washing machine once a week on a quick wash I bought a pair of Rockport loafers many years ago, still have them and got them fixed with new soles a couple of times, they are labeled "wide" since I have wider feet. They are really nice. I just had to read about the Earth shoes I mentioned, it said they came in the early 70ies and disappeared somehow from the market (people maybe thought they were ugly?), but they are actually manufactured this year again. The toe shoes (Barefoot) come in three different colours there ... I might buy a pair of those for the spring! Just saw, the brand Barefoot have many different shoes. I will see if the shops around here have that brand now. And about the 70ies Earth shoes, I read the characteristic was the heel was lower than the front foot, to give you a better posture Hmm. It reminds me of the shoes from Rieker I tried on in the summer 22. They weren't for me.

We spend a lifetime with our feet wrapped up like mummies. I wasn't sure after a few days with mine, but once my foot /ankles/ shins/ knees etc got more used to them they were so comfy... I can't wait to get from work to wear them now.

Were pretty comfy to be fair 👍

I bought the Hummel Root Elite II at the physical Stadium Outlet shop 5 mins before closing time for £25 (350 SEK). 🥵 Great grip on the floor and "1 million" (lots of) sweat holes.
Thanks for the recommendations!

Clarification: I read some more now tonight and the Earth shoes I remember my father once bought and wore was the Kelsø Earth Shoes, invented by a female Danish yoga instructor Kelsø in 1957. So the brand is in fact Kelsø, she only called that early typical and unique shoe model The Earth Shoes. Not to be mixed up with the brand Earth Shoes sold at Walmart etc. I read again that the heel was made lower than the front of the shoes so it would be like walking in sand, with healthy advantages.

Musik, I am disappointed in you.
I thought you would be a straight Salming man!
A Swedish brand and the indoor sports shoe of choice for squash players the world over.
I have 4 pairs of Salmings in my cupboard!

Thanks for the recommendations. Now I know what to look for in the coming year/s.
Adidas black tennis shoes Barefoot Salming
I will also check if Kelsø Earth Shoes have been manufactured in 2023 again as promised.
My favourite football shoes all time were Puma Aristo in black leather. My favourite tennis shoes a white leather pair from Head. My favourite running shoes Puma in black leather. My favourite walking shoes black leather Reebook DMX Ultra. My favourite leasure/handball/table tennis shoes, my Adidas Spezial/Superstar in mid blue Suede. I don't remember if the new millenium version I had was named Spezial or Superstar. When I was a kid I had them as well, but then they were called Baltic Cup.
I just realized ... I'm not a synthetic shoe guy.

Vikram 5 fingers
Take ages to get used to no elevated/cushioned heel but as stated above your feet will get stronger over time
Had plantar fascitis about 8 years ago, switched to zero drop, barefoot shoes and no issues since
Not for the faint hearted but Vivobarefoot, Xeroshoes etc all offer less radical designs
Whitin on Amazon offer a pair for a third the price of the above but don't expect a quick fix
