...pretty much every fkin where. Spain Portugal Morocco But with the first three games in South America as a nod to the centenary of the 1st WC in Uruguay: Uruguay Argentina Paraguay www.bbc.com/sport/football/67010609All seems a bit contrived, but nice that the main bit is in Europe

Bit disappointed that the whole thing isn't in Arg/Uruguay. Yes, seemed a good opportunity. The bid included Chile and Paraguay in the end as well.

Presumably it means the 3 group games in South America rather than just 3 random games - sounds a bit shit anyway. Should just have had the whole thing over there as a tour of South America would have been epic.
Saudi Arabia nailed on 2034 - is drinking and/or bum sex allowed?

All six teams auto qualify apparently.. there’s going to be no point bothering with the CONMEBOL qualifiers, everyone’s going to get in anyway

Does anybody else think this is political, because it paves the way for Saudi Arabia in 2034 which is now nailed on.
I.e. the 2030 WC counts as one hosted in Europe, Africa and South America in one go, and takes them both out of the frame.
I think it's a nonsense.

What the fuck?
The magic of a World Cup is often created by the culture of the host nation being part of the experience itself. This is basically an act of vandalism against what should always be the most highly anticipated tournament there is.

This the extent of Saudi Arabia's influence on the game today to secure the 2034 World Cup.
They are well and truly taking over this game. Its total corruption.

Don't really buy the environment thing myself as I doubt people will travel more tham usual, from one continent to another. Unless they're absolutely loaded. Of course you get the 'follow your team' option but that's ridiculously overpriced already. I'm not sure many will bother with that plus the travel costs for this one. When it's spread out like this I think the majority of people will simply pick a country and apply for a few games there. Traveling as little as possible. Well, that's how I tend to do it. The teams will hopefully play all their group games in close proximity. Though not sure how that will work with Spain/Portugal and then Morocco in the later rounds.

I prefer the Euros anyway. Easy to get to, safe, and higher quality teams on average. So less chance you'll get stitched up with something shit like a Togo v Iran match. Saudi 34 will be greener. Both in colour and because no one will go.

Australia have been given 25 days to announce a bid for 2034. They should wait until 23.59 on the 25th day to not put a bid in

To hell with these international breaks just to prop up this corrupt, money-driven crap that the World Cup has become and that always seems to get Stoke players injured as a "bonus."
Everything Gianni Infantino spouts, the corruption and now 2 Hemispheres, 6 different countries - it's low-quality satire.

And Morocco is close enough to make sense.

They'll probably adopt a model of 12 groups with 4 teams in each one. If so, it means most likely England won't be playing in Argentina or maybe Uruguay. Might not play in any of the three if they're still one the best teams in the world and seeded.
I'm not a fan really, but if they play those SAmerican games a few days before it could work. At least we'll have a nice normal 2034 world cup in errr Saudi Arabia.

Not a bad deal that in fairness automatic qualification for hosting one game!
I'd just love a combined Argentina/Uruguay World Cup so I can tick them both of my bucket list at the same time............

Is that not the case? One game in URU, one in PAR and one in Arge. I’d imagine they’ll fix it so that each of those “hosts” is playing at home in those games, as such it’s extremely unlikely England would feature there.
