Some of his pitchside antics annoy me - but he’s done an amazing job for Liverpool and given Man City a better run for their money than anyone else by far.

England?
Can't see him taking another English club
Don’t see Real Madrid or Barcelona allowing him anything like the control he gets at Liverpool
Bayern, maybe but again less control and he instantly pisses off his beloved Dortmund supporters - although plenty of players and coaches have gone from one to the other -
Germany and England jobs will probably be up in the summer
He might fancy staying here and managing that squad?

Great manager and entertaining character. If he's genuinely just tired as he says, a national manager is probably the way forward for him.

Don’t see why people think he’s heading elsewhere. Can see him taking a year or so out the game and then reassessing.
Don’t think he’ll manage a team in the same league he’s already managed in so that rules out Germany or England.

Be interesting see how Liverpool get on - the wheels typically fall off in these type of situations and the end of his previous tenures have been pretty crap. If he's saying he's knackered then the players have an excuse too.

Has been linked with barca and Xavi is mermored to be under pressure.
Think he ends up with Germany or Bayern though or even rebuilding dortmund.

I for one will be sad to see him leave English football, the standard and style of the English game have improved massively since he came here and I think a lot of that is down to the way he plays and the rivalry with Pep, Liverpool will miss him for sure; but English football will miss him too.

Agreed, he can be a right knob on the touchline like most managers but he's a top bloke and a real top level manager, one of the world's only two real elite managers so will be a shame when he goes. There will be all the Liverpool hate mob on here who'll be thrashing themselves daft over this news no doubt.

Nothing much left to achieve with Liverpool. They’ve had to fight against Man City’s corruption and have managed to win the battle once. I’m sure he’s earned a fortune and can now move somewhere less competitive.

Credit where it's due he's done a fantastic job to keep Liverpool competitive season after season without a billion pound pot to keep dipping in. I hope this isn't the end for him and his managerial career, he's the best manager in the world in my eyes. It seems odd timing as it looks like his rebuild is starting to blossom. It's hard to think who could possibly replace him, Liverpool will have a huge decision to make.

Managers who can properly motivate a team at that level are few and far between. He's a bit over the top on the touchline as some have mentioned but that is why his players want to play for him. Always liked the guy for that passion he shows for the game and his team. Wish we had more of it from our recent managers (though Schuey looks to be an actual motivator too).

Despite Pep having a bottomless pit Man City are really good to watch even if it is easier for him than many other managers. It's also good for English players coming through the academy there. If he were to move back to Barcelona which is very much a possibility I wouldn't be that interested in watching them but it would be a sad day for the Premier League not having him in it.

Why do I think the word 'despite' is incorrectly used here? Surely it's 'due to' having unlimited budget the league is broken... Etc? Nice to watch? Sure, but I won't be watching. Not a fan of broken systems. Really hard to swallow how anti-competitive football is. Stoke always seem to be the exception. We play fair even if we spend 10x more than others. 10 game losing spree? Don't worry, come on down the charity bus is in town. Bring your 20 game goal drought striker too!

It would be a sad day for Man City fans, little else. I’m not sure how good it is for the Premier League to brazenly allow one team to cheat their way to a title in 4 of the last 5 seasons. I think that the Premier League would be more enjoyable to watch if there was some sense of intrigue around who would win it.

Klopps a legend. Probably my favourite manager and it's a shame he's off. Hope he gets some more trophies this season.
He's said in his press conference that he'll be taking some time off and won't be going to another club or as a national coach at the end of the season.
