Apologies if this has been mentioned before but I cant be bothered to wade through countless posts. In Macari's promotion season 92/93, after eight games we were on 10 points. This season after eight games we are on seven...only three less. Now, I'm not suggesting for a minute we will go on a record unbeaten run and smash the league, but isn't there still time for Neil to turn things around ?? Here's hoping anyway !!

And Neil will also open up pods for drug addicts to dwell in years to come. I can see it now……..

He didn't lose 20 games in a year previously. Macari did make the odd tactical screw up, Leicester of course in the semi but the good outweighs the mistakes of course quite heavily to say the least . He did little after he left us and never recreated the success of Swindon and Stoke but what he did here has absolutely no resemblance to Neil. When he arrived they weren't his players and added good ones, some poor ones also but all managers do that. He had a actical style and stuck with it. Didn't work at the bigger clubs he managed but was ideal for us. The fact they are Scottish is about all I can think they have in common in their time here

There is definitely still plenty of time for AN to turn things around. However, the problem is that we have seen precious little to suggest that he is capable of doing so. If there was a clear vision, system, or style of play them I think most fans would be willing to be a little more patient. In contrast, we have no real identity, chop and change formation, play square pegs in round holes, and are hamstrung by the same problems that we were last season. Some sign of progress or direction would be helpful. Hopefully starting at the weekend.

Anything before the 95/96 season is a bit before my time, but 2 losses is a little easier to stomach than double that Neil has served up in his first 7 games. At least in 92/93, the draws suggest that we might have had something to build on and gathering a head of steam.

You'd expect that from a small club like Luton in the Prem, not us in the Championship

Even though it was a league below, Macari’s team would have demolished these losers we’ve got now.

Neil isn't fit to lick Macari's arse.
Lou will always be my favourite Stoke manager, a proper legend, knew exactly what he was doing, nice guy and had the personality you want as manager of your football club.

Lou’s record in his first 7 seven games was W1 D4 L2 then we started to look good starting with the 4-3 thriller over WBA in mid September followed by the Biggins kissing his shirt in the 4-0 at Mansfield

Christ it makes me physically sick to compare AN to the great man.
I want to like AN but just can’t quite get there, but I love Lou - my favourite manager of all time, and even though TP took us to greater heights, there’ll never be another like Lou, who gave me my SCFC golden years.
Lou gave us hope, an identity and fight.
The most memorable question I’ve ever been asked in a job interview was ‘what is the best example of team ethic you have encountered in the workplace?’, and I answered ‘SCFC under Lou Macari’. Every single player under Lou knew exactly what he was doing, what their job was, what was expected of them, and their whole was far, far greater than the sum of its parts. I got the job.

If you don’t count the Blackburn game then last season was W12 D10 L18 This season is W2 D1 L5 So in total W14 D11 L23 48 league games in total 53 points out of a possible 144
