What’s gone so badly wrong?
I know the opposition was poor but we were superb that day and for the first time in years I felt hopeful. The lineup that day was
Travers
Hoever Rose Wilmott Stevens
Laurent Pearson
Vidigal Johnson Brown
Mmaee
Browns gone and Vidigal and Mmaee have been injured but why change the system? Why interfere with the 3 in CM. Has Johnson played in AM barely since. It just feels like AN’s bottled it and gone back to the avoiding defeat team selections which clearly hasn’t worked.
With the current group of fit players can we go back to making it about us than the opposition.
Next game let’s just go for it
Travers
Hoever Wilmot McNally Stevens (if fit)
Pearson Burger or Laurent
Vidigal Johnson or Bae Hacks
Wesley

That's the system we should be playing, playing and playing again.

Nothing has happened - Rotherham was a fluke against a rank poor side with 10 men

Nothing has happened - Rotherham was a fluke against a rank poor side with 10 men Who, if you set aside the fixture between us both, have outperformed us, ppg across the rest of the fixture list.

Coming out of the ground against Rotherham twice,WBA and less so the Watford game there was a real feel good factor for me and a lot of other fans as I posted on here at the time.To see the difference in the team/players/manager since then is unbelievable for me and yesterday was as bad as it’s been for a long time.

1 Point from last 5 games is the worst in the division.
Could the unthinkable happen...
Even worse if The Vale come up...

One part of me thinks he bottled any semblance of attacking football after getting out-championship'd by Ipswish.
The other part thinks we've built a squad that could and should be flashy attacking minded, but is not remotely capable of taking on mid table champ plodders.

To be fair though, Rotherham are on our heels in the table

Brown not adequately replaced.
Injuries. Particularly Vidigal.
Formation changes.
Poor selection from the players available.
Set pieces poor.
Poor performances from laurent, Pearson, wilmot, mcnally, Rose.
The list is endless unfortunately.

If we don’t score first, we struggle. Have we scored first since Rotherham in the league cup? Couple that with our inability to concentrate for 90 mins and we are where we are.

After that first Rotherham match I came out of the ground and said to someone that the one thing to take away from that game is we still need a striker.
Another fan overheard me and scoffed at me saying “we’ve just scored 4 goals how many more do you want”
I’d love to hear what he thinks now …

I can’t believe season after season we seem to have so many. Have we ever explored why.

I can’t believe season after season we seem to have so many. Have we ever explored why. This season might not fit into the same theory, but previously we have had a habit of signing players with a bad injury record and expected it to be different for us. Powell, Clucas, Tuanzebe are some recent examples.
