I agree with your assessment in the Neil thread, far too invested now for a quick decision. I'm with the Coates all the way in keeping him until the end of season where the picture is far clearer. I fully anticipate results and performances to improve when we have a fairly fit squad. I'd be on the verge of giving up on this club if they sacked a manager so soon after letting him restructure the club, it could set us back seasons and weve been waiting seasons allready. We've been in transition now for years it's getting tedious and boring, not to mention annoying. Just stick and see where we go when the team have settled and we're injury free. At some point the club needed to stick with a manager so 'supporters' are aware that we don't just change the manager at the drop of a hat. The next man would get less time than this one, it's a recipe for a toured guide of the road to nowhere. If the board are going to give AN the rest of the season, then they might need to have thick skin. I think that things are likely to get worse (over the next three games) before they get better (a more winnable run of fixtures pre-Christmas and some players back from injury). Maybe the supporters should grow a pair though and accept Neil took over a circus and has had a massive amount of work to do just to give us a good starting point

Yet Burnley smashed the league despite a similar number of changes, showing that it can be done. Injuries have hurt us most in defence, where he failed to address getting rid of five defenders and decided that it was a good idea to start the season with a 33 year old as our only left back + only three central defenders. “Last season’s mess” may have gone but the performances and results are exactly the same. You just don't get it do you. No, I don’t. The performances mirror those from last season. He’s managing different players using the same playing style and getting the same results and performances. He should have been sacked after his pathetic management of the squad last year, now we are stuck with him.

How many Boro fans were asking for their manager to get the sack? Then all of a sudden they win 3/4 games on the bounce. To be fair, Carrick demonstrated last season that he was capable of organising a team which could win consistently. There were a lot of positives and, therefore, Carrick had more credit in the bank. Saw Boro at Bradford in the cup the other week and even tak8n* into account lower league opposition, they looked outstanding. Really solid spine, strong at the back, quick intricate passing and always dangerous. Their recent league form would suggest this wasnt a one off. Theyve had to make a lot of changes too… The decision to go for Neil when we could have had Carrick still grates

At the beginning of this season I had them finishing in 4th place. A couple weeks ago, that seemed a crazy prediction. Not so much at this point.

Middlesbrough lost several key players in the summer and made 12 signings. It seems like it took Carrick a little while to find a combination that worked. Now they have won four on the bounce and are only four points off the top six.

If this fool relegates us this season it would be the worst managerial performance in the history of professional football. The appointment of Nathan Jones at Southampton will take some beating. To be fair jones didnt build that southampton team neil has had a free hand to create the abject disaster he has with the other two of the abject amigos ably accompanied by canning and Gallagher , my big fear is the last three go as thats absolutely inevitable now ( fully expecting complete collapse form here in in ) and the first two stay to repeat the errors with the next one whose appointment they can manipulate

A decent manager with the caibre of players at his disposal and he is the manager who thinks he has the skills should be getting results, if they fail today then the future looks bleak, he is like mad Nath, he can only deal with a progressive introductions of players. Look at Neil Warnock, love or hate him, he walks into a team and makes them tick.

Fingers crossed he's gone tonight. I’d dare say a negative result today could push this further into being a reality.

The sight of 4 sides of the ground having a go could be enough to make the Coates decide enough is enough, especially with a British manager who knows the club being recently made available by Birmingham

Back to the dull shithouse football we're used to seeing from him after 3 good results then 3 games without looking like scoring. A manager whose ambition it appears to be to finish higher than 13th. Is he really trying to get the sack? His team selections and tactics seem to point to it. Gouranga.

All they do is pass sideways and backwards. Shame they didnt take their chances cause we'de have lost 7.0. His after match interview is delusional..fuck him off.

If he doesn't get sacked, would AN be any good in Div 1?
I know he got Sunderland up,but they were around the Play offs when he took over.
