Not the Mexican one.
Or the Arabian one (thought they’re partly to blame).
The Prem/Champ one. Shef U, Luton and Burnley all look certs to come back down.
How the fuck can we bridge the gap?

At the moment mate we are hardly pissing this league, the gulf between ourselves and Hull today was my biggest concern.

I think Burnley have shown enough that they might give themselves chance. Luton and Sheff Utd have recruited like sides that know they will go down.
Don’t forget that last season all three promoted sides stayed up.

Don’t forget that last season all three promoted sides stayed up. It's pretty much rigged to be like this, so it makes watching it as a sport completely underwhelming to the verge of predictable. The gap is only increasing too

Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest all stayed up last season - it can be done!
I don't think we'll have to think about that for a while, sadly...

3 points from a possible 48 between them!
I suppose eventually they will have to play one another and they will start to garner a few points.

Surviving that first season is a big help then you can bring in better players etc . Forest managed it and then puts you in a position to bring in some quality obviously. There'll be beatings along the way of course, I think Luton going up said a lot about the quality last season but am sure a few said the same when we went up with Hull.

Fair to say its even bigger than when we were last there, & we certainly defied the odds. Sadly even if we do manage to get promoted in the next few seasons which I'm not overly optimistic about, I think we'd struggle to retain our status as the gap seems so much bigger now. On reflection we crashed and burnt at the worst time possible really as we were definitely on the cusp of being slightly more than an established Prem club. It's as though the football gods spotted the name Stoke City starting to break into the upper echelons of the Premier League & they thought what are they doing here, they need to return to where they belong!
