Played 41 won 12 drawn 8 lost 21 points 44 That’s with 2 windows to bring in his own players, a complete restructure of the clubs back room staff and the easing of financial fair play.
In typical Coates fashion I don’t think there will be pressure from them toward the managers position, until the fans direct discontent towards the board or we are beginning to get cut adrift at the bottom, which despite how bad we were today, I don’t see happening just yet. While he has little good will from the fans, they will be prepared to stick with him until it’s completely untenable, strap in, this could get messy
Update: A roller coaster of a game, and probably more like what we expected, individual errors, wonder goals and fairy tale endings, much better. Stay away from the car crash tinkerman tactics, allow the team to get to know each other while in a system that remains reasonably stable and we will accept rollercoaster days more readily, we just need to see improvement, glimpses of potential and have more good days than bad

Before today I still thought/hoped he could turn it around once he’d had more time with the new look squad. But it really was an indefensible performance and it’s hard to see things improving any time soon.

I don't know how he keeps a straight face. He is as mad as a hare in march.

The “x wins in x games” threads are appearing.
That’s what did for MON in the end…….

There’s no reason for him to stay.
I said a few weeks ago I hadn’t warmed to him. Has anybody?
The tactics today were so poor it’s beyond belief.
Why is he so reluctant to do the simple things?

Any new manager will want Martin gone as long as it’s not a mates rate appointment

Eurgh, gross reading. He needs to figure something out sharpish or he will be gone before he knows it. He clearly does a lot of work and research into things, but the evidence looks like he does the complete opposite.

It was a strange one to begin with, he went from Academy Manager at WHU to Technical Director at SCFC. If not he could perhaps feature in the next series of 'The Office'.

It’s very poor.
I think there’s a good manager in there somewhere but he’s massively under performing.
He’s got to turn it round quickly. Needs to avoid defeats in the next two games with a win in there.
Lose the next two and I think he’s gone, I really do. It’s a race against time for him as I don’t think he’s a million miles away but we clearly aren’t there yet either. I think this team is going to click at some point and go on a decent run but we’ve got to be able to grind some results out in the meantime.

I knew he reminded me of someone top spot I suspect it’s going to be a pretty hefty severance bill Martin , Neil , canning , Jared , Gallagher all complicit in a abject failure snd all need to go .

Unbelievable stats, no place to hide.
So he can't manage or improve players he inherited, if fact some have gone backwards.
He cant seemingly put together a winning team with the new players he bought in.
He doesn't know his best team
His tactics, line ups and in game management is shocking.
He's got to go.
Here we are once again, groundhog day

It wouldn’t be so bad if you could see what he’s trying to do.
But he’s recruited an imbalanced squad and can’t stop changing his formation. Very little light at the end of the tunnel.
The crowning irritant is that he speaks as though he thinks he’s on Guardiola’s level tactically.
Reading that back, it could easily be about Nathan Jones. Which is a worry.

He's almost Jones separated at birth Seems the teams we play against have a pretty basic, set formation and stick with it ... . We start with one, throw a sub on early when that clearly isn't working then a few more when that works even less If you chuck enough at it , the odd time it may work but don't start giving it in interviews like it was some tactical masterclass when you play better as a result...and still often lose
