At half time 1-1.
Sweden took the lead. Nice header from a precise corner. But a goalie mistake later in the half and Spain had equalised.

2-3.
Last second penalty. Tough to lose it. We could have won it.

Since we lost it's difficult to advance from the group now.
Elin Rubensson got the Match award.

More on the football ... We meet Italy on Tuesday. A win there is a must.
Good luck to England in Nat League as well! If we meet in the finale there have to be a game between the losers in the semi finales I suppose, just to get the second european team for the Olympics.

The Scots were turned over last night. Their striker got a forearm smash in the back which you could see from all TV angles yet the ref and linos didn't. It was one of those things you wouldn't even need VAR for. Penalty not given.

Just reading England want to qualify for the Olympics. In another thread someone wrote England don't participate in the Olympics. Correct, it's Great Britain. China sneaked past Mongolia 16 (sixteen) 0!

China sneaked past Mongolia 16 (sixteen) 0! Splendid! The Swedish journalist didn't mention Great Britain once. On the contrary he says England is for once trying to reach the Olympics but it can be a problem since Scotland is in the same group this time. What?

On the contrary he says England is for once trying to reach the Olympics but it can be a problem since Scotland is in the same group this time. What? It seems that GB Olympic qualification is linked to how we perform in this Nations League competition, and part of that will require England to win the group (I think) and certainly finish ahead of Scotland...there will be an algorithm somewhere to sort it all out Wales will probably need to chip in too. Oops, not quite so easy, see below Great Britain will reach the Olympics if nominated nation England reach the Uefa Nations League final. However, third place will be enough if host nation France reach the final. Seems England ae the nominated entry, subject to the above, but will play as GB, if they qualify, and can include Scottish and Welsh players. It's as clear as mud Northern Ireland don't get a look in...they are part of UK, but not GB. We usually play as GB and N Ireland, so I have no idea why we don't this time, or maybe we are...who knows. My head hurts now

At the same time ... in the same day I read Spain have already qualified to the Olympics since they won the World Championship. And at another place I read only France are directly qualified since they are the hosts. This had never happened if they reported about the Men.

Earlier today I read in the tableau they'll show Sweden at home to Italy U23 men tomorrow at 17.45.
Later today it said they'll show Sweden away to Italy, Nations League women at 17.45.
Disrespectful
