The day the earth caught fire That's a great film Can't remember the gal in it but think she died quite young. One of my fave all time films, that and When Worlds Collide. I think she was an alcoholic as was her co-star Edward Judd. What luvvies did before cocaine. Great film.

Your feet turn to jelly and you’re biting your nails thinking “He won’t lose her, surely he won’t lose her…!” Heart pounding start to a great action film.

The best just have to be Saving Private Ryan, nothing comes close in my opinion.
But a personal second favourite is back to the future part 1

Any of you fucking pricks move, and i'll execute every motherfucking last one of ya... This. Although it was a long one, from the very beginning to the part where Vincent and Jules leave the restaurant is fantastic. OS.

Out of curiosity I looked that up...the different dialogue Tarantino said he did it on purpose as was from the different characters point of view and how they remembered it. Considering are a few bloopers in the film, the gunshots already in the wall etc, I kind of think he may be telling us a story there

Thought about this thread today when I saw The Naked Gun 1/33 w Leslie Nilsen.
What an opening scene.
