Stumbled across this small Youtube channel earlier today & what a find it was!
For people who've only got a minute or two here's some old photos of the towns...
Another quick bunch of old photos of mostly Longton...
If you've got a bit longer to spare here's a 50 minute video mostly on about the Neck End.
Brilliant channel, there's even more videos on there about Stoke (And some other places).

Growing up in Tunstall in the (very) late 70's and 80's I often wonder if I have a rose tinted view of how the High Street and surrounding area looked, but looking at that it was tidy, flowers everywhere, all shops occupied and it was a place to visit and enjoy. When I go back to my mum and dads now and drive down the High Street it's actually heart breaking to see the state it's been allowed to get into. The architecture of some of the buildings in the likes of Tunstall and Burslem remains stunning, but in 20 years time they'll all be knocked down or in a state of disrepair.........

There’s one I remember seeing years ago from the old Hanley bus station and some interviews with the locals. Interesting.

I found this recently, not as old as some of them in the OP, but still a nostalgic look at Meir, the A50 , Normacot and Longton in the late 80s.

Is it just me or does everything look so bloody ugly nowadays?
