www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-66745500How the hell did this yob get his touchline ban overturned. Abused a young ref at an under-7s game and then threw punches at a match official who stepped in to protect the young ref. There has got to be strong deterrents against such behaviour.

It's all very depressing.
The younger generations i work with all seem so hyper-aggressive these days, and it feels like a point has to be proven all the time. I know growing up there was fighting, but it just seems so much more prevalent.

Think the 5 year ban is lenient myself,as for the 150 hours community work should all be done whilst his favourite team is playing.

What an absolute bell end. If he’s getting that angry at an under 7s football game, makes you wonder what he does behind closed doors

If I'd have been a referee under the Liverpool FA, I'd have proposed a strike.

I was an assistant referee for six years at under 11 to under 16 level. While most were ok, the abuse from some parents - and coaches - was unbelievable at times. Grassroots officials need much more protection from the FA and this case is a step in totally the wrong direction.
