Where is your favourite place. Recently been to Lyme Regis, loved it. Enjoy Llandudno for a few days and Tenby. Any further suggestions? Always go abroad once a year but starting to like to have a week in this country as well.

Anywhere near Dartmoor.
The Southwest of England is by far my favourite region in Britain.
Waterfalls, climbing, huge hikes, lots of public land, great (local) pubs and restaurants.

Love Cornwall and Devon but the Isle of Wight shades it for me.Been loads of times and never had a bad holiday and although the island is small there are loads of things to see and do.

The North East coast from Whitley Bay up to Berwick.
Or the Pembrokeshire coast from Tenby up to Cardigan……

The Hebrides, but don't tell anyone. Northwest Scotland's mainland is absolutely spectacular too. I've visited 35ish or more countries, and Scotland is my favourite.

There are some incredible places north of the border out of order north the border Been to Dumfries and Galloway a couple of times, very nice. If the weather is good the U.K. is just as good as anywhere. The trouble is the weather particularly this year

For a quiet, relaxing getaway our favourite place is a lake lodge on Anglesey. Especially if the weather's good.
Another favourite is a little boutique hotel right in the centre of York but that's a busier one

We had 10 days in the Outer Hebrides this time last year. Not for everyone but it was one of the best holidays I’ve had anywhere in the world. The best beaches I’ve ever seen and hardly a soul there. Mind you we were very lucky with the weather. Took a 4 hour ferry from Oban to Barra in the south and then slowly made our way up to the far north, with 2 more ferry crossings on the way. Accommodation and food very expensive but the ferries are very heavily subsidised so good value.

Always go abroad once a year but starting to like to have a week in this country as well. I'll be there on Friday. Parking the car at Seaton and walking the Undercliff to Lyme Regis, stopping on the seafront at a nice restaurant for lunch then walking back. I'm staying in Sidmouth. If you think Lyme Regis is nice then you'll love Sidmouth. I'd go along with most of the recommendations above and would add the coast of North Norfolk from Hunstanton to Cromer it's a beautiful part of the country.

Accommodation and food very expensive but the ferries are very heavily subsidised so good value. Well I tried to resist sharing pictures... View from up a mountain on South Uist with the Isle of Rum (another incredible island) in the distance: Udal Peninsula on North Uist, with beaches everywhere. Usually the best views come from difficult walks, but this was mostly flat and easy: I spent two months in the Outer Hebrides in 2016. Similar to you, Oban to Barra then travelling north with various hikes along the way. I mostly camped and even couchsurfed for three nights, and slept in my car for a few more, so I didn't spend a load of money. I was also very lucky with the weather. The tourist sites are excellent too, including a few galleries, the Iron Age building on Great Bernera, Dun Carloway, and Gearrannan Blackhouse Village. I wondered why the Callanish standing stones on Lewis were so busy until I realised it was Summer Solstice day!

We go to Lyme Regis quite regularly and love it. We stayed in Sidmouth earlier this year, but prefer Lyme Regis. Also North Yorkshire, both the Dales and the Moors - really lovely areas with loads to see and do. The Cotswolds are beautiful but can get very busy, we've already booked to go next year for a week. Personally not too keen on Cornwall but like Devon. Not too keen on Wales, but love quite a few areas across Scotland.
We've never been to Norfolk or Suffolk for holidays, anybody got any places to recommend to stay ?
We have noticed that the self-catering holiday rental prices around the country seem to have gone up quite steeply since Covid.

I am a fully paid up member of the North West Highlands Fan Club. Some of the big mountains in the Torridon Range and An Teallach are my favourites. Glorious beaches {Sandwood Bay and white sands on Harris). I have taken many walking trips to the area with small groups. The have seen Eagles, Red Deer, Ptarmigan and mountain hares. I am not all that fond of crowded beaches, lazing in deck chairs etc. Each to his (her) own.

Honeymooned in the Lakes and it genuinely didn't stop raining.Took a while for my wife to agree to go back. Half-a-dozen holidays since then have been very lucky.

When we have the weather, I firmly believe that this is one of the best countries in the world to holiday in. I love going abroad for the different cultures and customs etc, but we are truly blessed to have so much diversity and so many beautiful places on our little island.
I regularly do Wales (all corners) and Cornwall and feel like I know them well but discover something new everytime. Only 2 weeks ago I was swimming in totally clear turquoise waters off one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to - Pedn Vounder near Lands End.
Must do more Scotland…

Another favourite is a little boutique hotel right in the centre of York but that's a busier one Love York but fuck me is it packed at weekends nowadays. Still has a decent live music scene and great cycling around. We had a good time up the northeast coast. Camping, Lindisfarne and playing beach nogger at Bamburgh then down to Whitby.
