At the pre-season friendlies, I was told 4-6 weeks. That's been and gone now, and no news.

Apparently he fibbed about an injury in pre-season which led to said injury becoming worse. He'll be at the bottom of the Portuguese/Korean pecking order when he does return.
Shows you that a small indecision can have big consequences.

Nice to see that we're trying everything, but I have concerns over the potential side-effects and legal side of things.

Players such as Tezgel, Sidibe etc are great young talents coming through. I say we hold onto certain few each year, send for season loans to league two outfits so they perhaps at least see half a season to toughen them up then begin to integrate from season two. Build a model that shows academy graduates a route to the first team is possible, perhaps then we will see a crop who believe Stoke have something to offer thus worth pushing for. Other clubs carry that academy feeling which always seems to add a sheen to a team.

Outstanding talents should be playing for us not having the shit kicked out of them in the lower leagues. For 'good' talent then definitely loan route is needed

As FM said, I think Neil wanted Tez to have time to fully recover as he’d broken down with a few injuries over the last year. He’s still 17, probably at the end of any growth spurts now and just needs to settle into his body to consistently play. Last thing we need now is to push him too much and end up hampering his career - we’ve got the luxury of time on our side now.

Maybe he’s the reason why we weren’t pushing too hard for another striker? He definitely got the potential to be an excellent player for us. My only concern other than fitness is the time he’s got with us. He only signed a three year deal last summer so time is slowly ticking away. I think everyone was hoping last season would be his breakthrough year.

He’s not a PL wunderkid. He’s a 17 year old who’s barely played football in today’s Championship. He’s probably earning what, $2k a week? I can’t see him getting a $60k car unless his parents are wealthy. Then again, football is a weird world. Maybe Coates bought it for him as a signing on present.

I suppose I've always enjoyed seeing a young spark have a confidence building competitive season down below before stepping up once more. Of course, this may well not occur leaving players having adverse experiences but I suppose what I'm suggesting is ultimately focused upon graduates getting regular first team football, being considered tactically for a duration of time, rather than a bright spark for a slow burning period, in a unit etc all that kind of grit and knowhow that comes naturally but we're a championship club with lower leagues available to attempt and try such things. Again, that would be an approach id take. Alternatively, if fit, able, performing and contributing I agree, just get them in. Loads of ways eh. Nevertheless...Sidibe is 16 and your right, he's excelling.

Has anyone seen enough of this lad, playing at this level, to suggest that he's 'plenty good enough for the Championship'?
I get that he's an Academy startlet / young / promising, etc,etc..

I think Tezgal would thrive with the talent he would have around him now. He would definitely thrive with better players around him. He's proven from a very early age (always playing one or 2 years up) that he will score goals and his hold up play has always been way above his years. Winning player of a tournament at International level like he did at the Syrenka cup (previously won by Jude Bellingham) just shows you that he will be an amazing asset for Stoke City and will no doubt score plenty of goals and just as many assists.

Every game I've seen he looks better than the last one Impossible to be sure but including his first team friendly appearances he looks at the very least well worth some minutes impression is that yes 'plenty good enough...' But only one way to find out If he plays and does little still no drama, get him a loan in January before then let's see if he can make a mark
