There's absolutely no point in wavering on about whether or not to keep Campbell at the club.
Ty wants to leave the club, so even a 500% wage increase wouldn't keep him here.
The club was made an offer for him in the January window which was accepted by the club but turned down by himself. He was sure there'd be another offer in the summer, by which time he'd be free of contract and could bag a big sign on fee at his, I believe, Italian suitor.
I think he's made a mistake by thinking that offers will come rolling in. The Italian club presumably signed someone else in January and so won't need him now. The question, then, is who needs him now?

This subject is one which perfectly surmises the perpetual failure of Stoke city over the last 7 years. Sticking with players like Campbell who quite frankly is a 60%er is deserving of our plight. When he occasionally blesses us with his “True” Self you may get an almost competent championship performance, That’s it. I keep reading this crap about him not being played in his best position which lets be honest generally makes no difference to our results. As a footballer I can’t stand the guy. He represents everything I hate about entitled, uncommitted Footballers.
Giving him another 12 months or more to ply his trade in our colours is sufficient evidence that SCFC don’t have any ambition to improve as a club. Move him on please Stoke, I don’t want to pay to watch Campbell.

Either this or they never watch him play regularly. No intelligent person can surely believe this guy is worth a new contract. The Championship has moved on in terms of competitiveness. Unfortunately, I feel Stoke City have not.

We need to move him on end of if we’re serious about progressing, offers very little most games and we need far better than he offers

Watch that goal again with the commentary off and it could be Ricardo in his prime. Not really. It was piss poor defending. Their defender had all his weight on his right foot, expecting Campbell to take it on the inside because he is left footed. Campbell is two footed and showed the value of that. Fuller in his prime was Villa at home. It’s not even close. He scored a goal and we aren’t used to that anymore (from anyone) but let’s not degrade what Fuller actually achieved for us.

Fuller is a legend. Campbell is unlikely to achieve half of what he did in a Stoke shirt. But we’re 1 up away at a tough venue in a must win game. Cheer up ffs.

Campbell is a decent player but he’s no Ricardo Fuller. Some of the goals Fuller scored were just phenomenal. My favourite is still the one at Upton Park where he made Matthew Upson look like a pub footballer, it was just brilliant.
Wouldn’t mind if Campbell stays, I hope he can stay fit and be played up too and not out on the flank thiguh

Fuller is a legend, a God and on a level above mere mortals. But that goal was Fuller-like. The control. The intent. The finish. If he wants to stay and we can keep him fit and firing then we should sign him.

He had 7 goals and 7 assists in 19 appearances before his injury. He looked a real player. Newcastle apparently gearing up a £25m bid in the Jan window. He then spent the best part of a year on the sidelines. He's been back for just over 2 years now with lots of niggling injuries. He hasn't performed in that period, but who has? We have been shit to a man. He has in that time been the only player with a bit of a spark about him. Someone who can do something. Has it worked? No. But he's 24. He's absolutely worth a 2 year deal. Get him back to his 2020 form and we are laughing. Nothing to suggest he is a total write off yet. wtaf This aged well for you
