Lots of new and exciting players in over the window, but we can't expect it all to click straight away. Players don't know each other yet, also many different languages/countries, etc.
How long before things come together and we become the team we want?
I'm guessing December before we get to that state (hopefully we do get to that position!)

I actually think we started to show some promising signs of developing partnerships in the second half last week. Particularly down the right with Ty, Burgs and Mehdi.
Plus, we banged 6 in on Tuesday so I think we're on the right track!

Seriously I think we will have our ups and downs through the next 2 months and will get into a settled run of good form in November.
Naturally I hope its sooner, just being realistic.

A very poor performance today. After all the optimism of the last few weeks I've got a serious feeling of deja vu.

Eh??? What fucking game were you watching? A game where we dominated and battered them with over 70% possession and lost. That was as bad a performance we've put in for 18 months. 70% possession means fuck all if its all 10 yards infront of our own box. We were slow with the ball, we were sloppy, our passing was shit, our crossing was shit, our 1st shot on target was 75 minutes when JunHo came on.

Well the only positive I can take from today in terms of length of time is that I won’t be watching that shower again until the 24th.

Yeah but give Neil time and the team has to gel.

Needs patience. We’ve had an average of 2-3 newcomers a week for the last 4-6 weeks and uncertainty on outgoings. The window is shut, the international break is here, now is the time to start gelling.
Neil was keen from the start of summer to emphasise improvement rather than promotion, and I think we need to remember that as well. A couple of months back we were generally (Pugsley aside haha!) accepting of a top half or top 10 finish this season. An exciting, wild transfer window shouldn’t change that vision.
There’ll be teething issues, stop-starts as well as thumping results which will swing emotions each way - hell, that’s football. We need to give this a good go though.
Two of the sides that have frustrated and beaten us have had settled squads and managers for at least a year if not more (Rowett/Lowe/McKenna). We’ll get there.

Slow turgid football, no improvement on the dross we were served up last season Although Johnson wasn't great when he came on,he at least gave us some impetus, otherwise we were really poor in possession, moving the ball like in a warm down exercise....

Given the new direction the club appears to be going, I suspect he won’t have a large grace period to get this lot playing.
The intent is there from the club, and I don’t think we’ll fester with a failing manager for too long if he can’t get a tune out of them around mid-October time.

I think that we have the individual components to make a decent team.
However, AN needs to work out what his best side is quickly.
He has been backed to the hilt in the transfer market. He has all of the jigsaw pieces, but he now needs to piece everything together.

We’ll see, he’s still got a bit of time but some of the early season optimism is already beginning to fade.

Octobers fixtures look really tough, we could be in a poor position by November, this squad needs to gel asap.
