He's a ticking time bomb 💣 and I'm sure it'll all end up going a bit Chiquinho before January. Jun-Ho looks like he can play wide left thankfully (could be his best position) so hopefully if it does go that way we've got cover for Vidigal without him. I would assume Haksabanovic will play more on the right? Whenever I've seen him, which isn't often he's been on the left.

Looks tricksy Don’t see the Arnautovic comparison tbh, much smaller Alternative to Leris and cover for Videgal it would seem Sort of player we need in games like PNE where we need to break a side down Slightly better Celina? Much, much, much better player than Celina.

I think Bae will have to split playing time at first with one of the front three and we play Johnson as the third midfielder, although the Laurent conundrum ontinues.

My 4231 which I'd very much like to see would be... Travers Tchamadeu Willmot Mcnally Stevens (who by the way looks a right find so far for the short term and doesn't get the credit) Pearson Burger Haksabanovic Junho Vidigal Mmaee/Wesley That has to work once it's gelled, a very good looking team aswell in my view

I could see the same happening here. Maybe not necessarily with him, but we have a dearth of options for those wide areas now and Neil has a job keeping them all happy. He needs to have some idea of a settled side because swapping it game after game isn't going to help anybody. From the first few games and provided his injury is nothing sinister, Vidigal looks to have played himself into the one position whilst the others battle it out for the other. Leris, Campbell, Haksabanovic, Mmaee & possibly Bae fighting it out for the other side will leave at least one feeling a bit pissed off. I hope he's not given himself too much of a selection headache. Not sure. There’s plenty of game time to spread the minutes around. The longer Campbells contract issue to continues to roll on, the more likely he is to be benched and the others may turn out to be a bit brittle and pick up injuries. ATM mick Campbell should be on the bench along with hoever and Laurent. See if AN has the balls to drop em.

To be fair, Mmaee is a striker, Bae is an attacking midfielder and Campbell isn't with it at all at the moment, if he isn't going to sign a new contract we may as well leave him out until he leaves. Leris hasn't impressed me at all yet, but time will tell, he looks an absolute like for like remake of Brown to be fair, which for the difference in transfer fees, is actually a snip. I'm actually hoping Haksabanovic is very good as with Vidigal on one side and whichever striker in the centre, we're actually limited for real quality on the other wing. Jojic looks to be way too early in his development from the small cameos he's had, think he'll need more development time. If Mmaee proves himself physically then I can see the midfield/ attack being close to: Pearson, Burger, (and I like Laurent but I just don't think he fits into the best team we can put out), then Johnson/ Bae to fight for the attacking midfield/ 10 role. With Vidigal, Mmaee and then Haksabanovic/ Leris on the other side. But its early doors for everyone so we don't really know I guess. If Campbells form continues he won't be offered a new contract.

He hooked four at half time at Millwall including the Captain.

There was no one else to play on the left was there, with Vidigal injured and Sead missing the cut off. Also with his contractual situation I can see him sliding down the pecking order as the season goes on. I’d only ever have him as a sub anyway. I was hoping Laurent might have been sold last week, and it’s only a matter of time before Junior goes past Hoever.

Agree mate re Saturday but now we have a decent squad he should be no where near the starting 11. Likewise with hoever now we have gooch n junior he should be benched

See ideally we look at these line ups in preseason but we have had so much to do this summer Neil has got to use official game time as a bit of a guinea pig this season. I think he's an intelligent bloke he must see the potential of that line up, he's asked the recruitment to find players offering x y z. That team looks really balanced

I wouldn't mind seeing three behind the striker as a 4-2-3-1 formation, if it's in Neil's thoughts at all. Something like: Bae  Mmaee  Vidal   Wesley/Campbell Could be tasty, with Pearson and Burger/Johnson as the deepest two behind that. If there’s ever a game we play Johnson in a deep role as part of a 2 with anyone, we’re getting absolutely slaughtered. Burger/ Pearson is the ideal pairing there, although it limits Burger a little I’d imagine. Laurent and Thompson as rotation for them 2. Everyone else used as part of the 4 attacking players really.

He’s not really attacking though is he. When he has the ball on the edge of the box do you ever feel he’s going to bang one in the net or play a killer pass? Tidy enough but no end product not really what you need in your attacking 4.

Losing Tyrese for nowt next season is poor, but Campbell very likley thought he might be better off going for free next season and talking himself a good deal. Did anyone actually come in for him?

Don’t think he’s physical enough and I don’t think he forces anything enough. But my point was that if he’s used in any sort of defensive way, certainly in a midfield we’ve all been begging for some physicality and battle. He’d get rolled over so easily and teams would be walking all over us.
