I am certainly optimistic that we will have a much better season this time. More players to come in and go too!

Just for balance, we’ve also lost almost as many games as they lost throughout the entire season.

Unlikely with our recent history, but we need to go on a decent unbeaten run.

If we can perform like we did in the 2nd half at Millwall (and a few other times this season) with any sort of consistency then we’ll be knocking on the door at least.
This league is a marathon and the teams that do well are the ones who go on the sort of unbeaten/winning streaks that we’ve seen far too little of since relegation. Interested to know what our longest winning/unbeaten streaks have been in the last 5 years. I can’t imagine it’s bigger than 4/7 respectively.

We’ve won two games we lost last season, lost one we got battered in last season but gave them more problems. Just depends who you replace Ipswich with but we could be 6 pts better off from the same games last season.

We'll get better as the season goes on. It's going to be very difficult to get a team with so many new players firing on all cylinders from day one- it just won't happen.
I'd have probably settled for 2 wins and 2 defeats from the opening 4 games. We've looked very good in spells and very bad in others, which is still better than the continual turgid dross we had for the majority of last season. If we're in the top half at Christmas, we'll have a decent chance of kicking on and putting a top 6 challenge in.

I'm convinced that we're going to win the league. We were the better team in the two home games, which we won, and the statistics suggest we should have won on Saturday. That's without a full complement of players as even more of our exciting signings start to roll in.

Burnley had better players and a better manager than us. So makes the opening comment a bit irrelevant

I’d replace promoted team with the relegated team closest geographically. Makes it a tad difficult because it was 3 northern teams relegated. Barnsley would be Sheff Wednesday Blackpool would be Plymouth (as the are both coastal) Wigan would be Ipswich (both play in blue) 😂

Another chance to right a wrong from last season on Saturday, fancy us being 9pts ahead of the same games last season already.

Good spot it looked fine to me.

Not Barnsley. On that basis, Reading would be replaced by Ipswich. Didn't we lose at Reading last season? Early on? 9 points ahead of last season already on that basis.
