An absolutely astonishing array of players coming in to the club, makes me wonder how much we've actually spent, and what will the FFP impact be down the line if we don't go up at some stage.
Im gonna guess we've spent at least £10-£15m.

Im gonna guess we've spent at least £10-£15m. Not sure on the amount but divide by 4 for the annual charge to the accounts assuming 4 year contracts. Bigger worry is wages but with our previous FFP deficits gone, the owners can invest £13 million a season to cover losses. What is different this time is we have 4 loans plus Wesley who are gone in a year so no contract overhang, older players like Stevens and Johnson on shorter contracts and we have signed a number of players who could be sold for higher amounts -Burger, Vidigal, Maaee, and the young Serb and Korean. We also have Sidibe, Tezgel and Lowe as potential major assets. All in, this is a very different scenario. We knew the club was going to have a competitive budget, what we didn’t expect was how strategic they have been, buying talent for now but also taking bets on potential. We could spend more and still be okay FFP wise, how much depends on if we go all in for this season or look at 2-3 years.

i think what we have so far sold players for more money than we have spent on players, we sold soutter Brown Bursik and c taylor for around 22 million, don,t think we have spent near that yet, plus after last season we got players gone sharpish saving s a lot in player wages,

But of interest to us all Shirley? If folk are interested, then fair enough, that's their choice. As I have no control over who they buy, how much they spend and whether there is money in the bank to pay the club's bills, I see no point in wasting my time. Purely personal, of course, and alternative views are equally valid.

My view.
Selling harry souttar for 15 million quid , is one of the best deals, we have ever done.
Yes , like the thinking of AN, RM and Jared .
But I think selling souttar, gave us the flexibility to reinvent ourselves.
Don't think we could have had this summer transfer window, without the souttar money. The last transfer window we were talking about domestic loans and having to sell Joe bursik to keep onside with FFP.
Hopefully the 15 million from the sale of Harry souttar has been the catalyst for a revolution at Stoke city.

I expected that we’d spend about £10-15 million (basically the Souttar money) before the window. With the sale of Brown, I’d imagine we’ll spend about £3-5 million more than that and be done with it.
