Has anyone had an email from the club asking for them to take proof of age for their kids season ticket? my lad is 11 and has had a season ticket for 4 years now, and has just moved up to under 15's category, which means I am paying more.
I can understand if I was still trying to get a cheaper ticket, surely they should of asked for this on past seasons? We actually didn't pay for his season ticket in the past as he was in city 7's, so was free until he got to 11.

Is there some cheating going on and the club tightening up?

I imagine they’d only ever ask for it in cases that appear borderline. Unless your son is a highly developed eleven year old I’m sure he’ll be fine.

To be fair, he looks younger, and like I said, I am actually paying more than before, so don't understand it, you would think they would ask for the ones who have not moved up in age category. I will take his passport down the club shop later. I'm guessing there are a few trying to say their kids are younger than they are to get cheaper tickets?

They’ve probably just sent out a blanket message to anyone who has a season ticket in any discounted age category. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Hi mate, I’m glad you posted this… me and my lad have had season tickets for probably 5 years, he’s now 13, and last season was the first time I got asked for proof of age which I did. The same has happened again this season, I would have thought once would have been enough last year?

I don’t think that this is a new thing. I had to provide proof of age (passport) for my Grandson last season. He’ll be 11 years old in September Has anyone had an email from the club asking for them to take proof of age for their kids season ticket? my lad is 11 and has had a season ticket for 4 years now, and has just moved up to under 15's category, which means I am paying more. As I’ve posted elsewhere on other subjects ..I suspect like a lot of things since the new COO arrived a review period took place .. and found gaps a plenty in the clubs processes , compliance , and fan base records etc ..those gaps throughout the club are being corrected.
Recruitment - on and off the pitch Coach Couriers - now DBS verified and recorded , with proof of address provided Fan Engagement Loyalty night - highlighted omissions in the clubs ST records Proof of age
It’s no use people just asking for change , wanting the club to be more professional in all matters… without the foundations being laid that allow that
Department heads and the the admin support staff will have been as busy as AN
That matters were lax previously isn’t down to the current COO , unless he chooses not to act of course , but that of the previous head

However, this one has been going for ages. Whenever my lads have passed the age band we have to take ID in.

Ages entitlement is a key area for football clubs Scholes idea of how a club was its my way and only my way ..don’t bother me .. he primarily was a very good accountant by all accounts .. that’s not the same as being a departmental leader , delegator etc .. if you don’t direct your departmental heads correctly , and listen to and act on their concerns ..you get what we had .. a cosy shop for you and a failing business for your customers and employees ( and employer ) our TO records have always been a mess .. we didn’t start keeping anything like reasonable TO records until the Col U away promotion season game Did this type of saddo work before retirement 🤪 .. believe me it’s saddo in the extreme .

At least we should have an exciting season ahead, with lots to entertain the crowd and keep them awake! I'm sure that in the last few years the Stewards at times have been checking the fans for "Proof of Life"!

When I bought a ST for my grandson we were asked to produce proof at the ticket office a few weeks later.
The grandson could not come to the Watford game and I had his ticket with mine. At the turnstile I accidentally produced his by mistake and was allowed to enter no prob. I am only 60yrs older than him!!!😃😀

It was a good while ago now but I was definitely 3 years older than Stoke's records as a kid.
