We have been getting some useful and exciting additions to the squad. Brown leaving was a bit of a left field occurrence but when Premier League Luton come calling...in terms of younger players I was a tad disappointed to see Taylor move on as well.
Anyway, been thinking about some other young players in the wider squad who seem a bit stuck or we would hope to move on for financial reasons, anyone got any gen on these:
Blondy Nna Noukeu - seems to be fourth choice, will surely be sent out on loan, possible League Two or National League?
Liam McCarron - signed for us 'excited at the prospect of first team football' but is never mentioned anywhere. Again, a loan would be merciful if we can't sell him on.
Tom Sparrow - I know not a like for like with Sidibe but it's pretty telling that with a shortage of midfielders he's been nowhere near the bench even for the cup game, sell?
Lewis Macari - again, not really getting near a first team squad (Okagbue ahead of him) so can see him being sold off too, or is he too good/seen as having too much potential to let go?
D'Margio Wright-Phillips - one year left on contract (with an option to extend) and has seemingly gone nowhere since his brief flurry of games in 2022. Played 59 mins in 2022-23...
Others such as Gayle, Campbell and Baker (L) have been covered extensively in the main transfer thread.
(Stands back and awaits Fuller Magic/other ITKs re injury/youth team performances).

Always had/have hopes for Wright-Phillips after his first team appearances.
What’s the issue? Too lightweight, attitude, or just not up to the championship? ( I thought he looked capable)

Definitely think Wright Phillips will go, he seems to have no future under Neil. We were saying the other day how strangely his career had gone since Neil came in.
If our transfer business goes as we hope I also expect to see Lowe and Okagbue go out on loan. I thought Okagbue had already gone to Walsall but obviously misinformed.

Was set to join but has been on our bench - perhaps Taylor leaving played a part too. A last minute switch after we strengthen CB perhaps, or will just get his minutes at U21.

Agree about DWP, never seemed recently at the races and Neil has seemingly side-lined him. Not sure the point of a loan though - 1 year there will be no renewal, needs a new club.

Lewis Macari - again, not really getting near a first team squad (Okagbue ahead of him) so can see him being sold off too, or is he too good/seen as having too much potential to let go? He looked good in pre-season so I’d be surprised if we let him go but he’s 21 so it’s make or break time for him really. I can see a League Two loan this year being on the cards. The comparison with Okagbue isn’t really valid as Macari is a full back and Okagbue is a centre half. They’re not in direct competition for places.

Sparrow has Altrincham or Chester free transfer written all over him.
Wright-Phillips Neil clearly doesn’t rate.
Macari should be capable of playing League One/Scottish Premier League…..

DWP looked decent in a 352. He needs a loan that will get him minutes in a position that we would likely use him. From memory of his debut, he played there with Brown versus Hull. He’s been worse since playing more out wide.
More than anything, he needs games. If he went on loan to a Conference team to play in a two-man strike force, I’d be very happy.

Macari and Okagbue both had a decent game for the under 21s last week, both could go on loan. DWP really put a shift in (possibly because AN was there) but sadly missed a sitter, not sure anyone will want him. Kahrel Reddin was played at right back (he's too small imo) but he is afraid of nothing, linked up well with DWP and he is rapid, I could see someone taking him on loan.

I mentioned this in the Watford match thread at the weekend but I believe Macari will go out on loan with a view to finding a new club. I think it'll be the case for most of those mentioned.
The problem for DWP is that he seems to be behind Tezgel and Lowe now for first team opportunities.
