Was really impressed by his workrate and his retention of the ball! Looked exactly the player we have been missing for years! Even scored a goal though it will be standing as an own goal, but it was due to him anyway. I want to see him in our starting line-up against Ipswich.

How long will it be before someone tells you this didn't need its own thread?

I agree though, if he stays fit I think he could be exactly the flat track bully type we need up top. Especially given how dynamic Vidigal looks. Would he alternate with Mmaee tho or could he play wide?

I'd imagine he'll give a few defenders nightmares before the season is out.

Personally, I think Mmaee is brown’s replacement As in we knew weeks ago Brown was off but continued to play him, even starting him in our first league game? It’s clear we didn’t plan to sell Brown but an offer came in. Mmaee wasn’t signed as his replacement though

Brown spoke about Luton’s interest has been going on for a while.
But if you remember Brown came to us as a striker. Who can play wide and even RWB.
From how AN spoke about Mmaee in the Q&A I think he’ll believe he can do that role on the right side and drift in the same way brown does.

Not sure on that.

Agree with Onlooker, don't think M'waee and Hoever offer enough defensively at present. M'waee will need to get rid of the ball much quicker moving forward.

Mmaee just looks suited to either playing up top or probably the more likely behind a main striker. He needs to get up to speed yet so can't see him being pushed out wide.

As this is the Wesley thread it's about time someone mentioned what a beast he could be for us....like an athletic Jon Parkin.

I think he will be the part once fit - he was blowing out of his backside after about 60 mins on Tuesday, but I loved how he bullied defenders first half.
Reckon by October and fully fit he will be a right handful

They still have a long way to go but the fans are starting to see a team we can actually get behind and it feels good.
