They were handing out free water in the away end it was that hot. Not like today at the Britt. |

Funnily enough our first game of the 1990/91 (Alan Ball / Graham Paddon) season was at home to Rotherham and we won 3-1 but it was only 2-0 at half time.
Blake, Kennedy and Thomas were our scorers.
So not the answer but none the less mildy interesting.

Think we were 2 up at half time and Lewis Neal scored a late 3rd Yes, one of the few away games I went to that season. Always some strange results on the first day so I thought I would have a bet on 4-0 to Stoke but those odds weren't on the betting sheet, so I had 3-0 instead. Almost disappointed that we were 'only winning 2-0' in the last minute when we scored a late winner to win 40odd quid. And, yes, it was a really hot day! |
