I know it’s becoming a cliche but we really do need to treasure our situation. Not just the fact that they make so much money available and do such good work in terms of ticket prices etc , it’s the fact that it is a clear and accountable local ownership structure. (Mind you never underestimate English football’s to screw it all up with some ridiculous gambling company restrictions on ownership)

They're still sulking that Notts County got promoted meaning they aren't the oldest league club anymore. Not that they were anyway 😋😋

He has something to do with PNE I think Risdale is a Director at PNE, never been involved at Notts Forest. I know he's not at Forest mate, the comment was made as the situation is very Leeds-esque.

OK got it, I suppose these kind of situations used to be quite rare, but seems to be getting more commonplace. Maybe they are more widely reported.

Just look at their chairman.
Did he pass a 'fit and proper' test?

Nottingham Forest as in the city, Notts County as in the county. Weirdly Forest's ground is not in the city boundaries despite being called the City ground but County's ground is, the Trent being the border running between the two. I have a feeling that they are the two closest top class grounds in the country. With Trent Bridge just beyond it is quite a sporting corner.

Isn't it called 'The City Ground' as it was built about the time that Nottingham got given it's City status and they named it for that reason ?
