This is foreign midfielder I was hinting to on the transfer thread. FM can verify. You think we’ll get him?

This is foreign midfielder I was hinting to on the transfer thread. FM can verify. You think we’ll get him? No idea. I was told we were after a Dutch midfielder. I put what I did in the chat and then someone else within the hour DM’d a name. I am in no way shape or form itk. I just get told stuff 🤣🤣

I’d have preferred it to be like Mmaee though in that it sounded done and dusted when the media found out.
This feels like it’s been leaked for a particular reason.

Our resident Bavarian savoury delicacy won’t be happy we’re on the verge of signing yet another number 8😉

Blimey 😲 - Fuller’s search engine has really had to get into full on world wide search mode this summer !!!

I'm pretty sure I've seen this youth play live. He played left centre back which is why I remember. Could easily operate in a 3 not sure about a 4 but would be good cover for Pearson and add some much missing height in centre mid.

I’m wondering if this is why we haven’t gone straight to giving Onomah a contract. Burger as first choice with Onomah an option as back up if Burger can’t be done.

You could definitely see him play alongside Ben in a double pivot with Burger covering the ground. Given the options we have up top I suggest a 4231 could be a regular formation. I like that he's is a leftie too, if you had a proper LB in that back 4 like a Panzo we'd be cooking.

Jokes aside a 6’4 unit at defensive mid and not being reliant on Pearson alone makes me very happy.

I’m all for it although in the analysis above it states he’s best deployed in the number 8 role. Anyway it was a joke, difficult to distinguish I know😉

1908.nl/artikelen/stoke-city-concreet-voor-wouter-burgerStoke City specifically for Wouter Burger Wouter Burger made the switch from Feyenoord to FC Basel in the summer of 2021. In Switzerland, the central midfielder turned out to be a permanent force in the basic formation of head coach Timo Schultz. Last season, Burger managed to reach the semi-finals of the Conference League with Basel. The development of the midfielder has not gone unnoticed in England. Stoke City have put a million-dollar bid on the table in Basel to take over Burger permanently. The club from the EFL Championship wants to go far for the 1.91 meter tall midfielder from Zuid-Beijerland and offers him a four-year contract. Burger is under contract with FC Basel until mid-2025, for which he has already played eighty-seven official matches. The midfielder managed to score six times and deliver four assists. Transfermarkt estimates that he represents a transfer value of four and a half million euros. The midfielder got no further than sixteen official matches at Feyenoord and two loan turns to fellow townspeople Excelsior and Sparta. The Rotterdam club sold the midfielder two years ago for about seven hundred thousand euros, but stipulated a resale percentage of ten percent on the net profit. Where do you find all these articles?!?! You're like The Oatcakes scout. If we don't sign Wouter Burger and all talk in zee German accent yah, for the rest of the league-un-season then there's going to be big cries-un into our beer shteins.
