If you posted a list of the permanent deals though, what percentage of them would be termed successes and how would you judge it? I’d judge it based on the quality of their football over the duration of their subsequent contract. That’s the metric used for loans. The only difference is that the contract is usually shorter. If you think there’s nothing wrong with the loan system Toxic, fair enough. I think that it is a symptom of the increasing inequality found in football and that it needs more regulation for the betterment of the game. I definitely think there's a problem with the way the big clubs snap up as much talent as early as possible. I also think it's possible to use the loan system smartly and to one's advantage in this league.

That's the one..... What was he thinking!!! 😁👍🏼 Bet it was the dressing room, in thing to do at the time. (aside from the published rumours!). Wonder if Fox copied Randall or vice-versa! Perhaps they were trying to emulate George Berry!

A good goalkeeper at the base of the spine is essential.
This lad is a very good goalkeeper.

www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/23680558.andoni-iraola-provides-update-afc-bournemouth-transfer-businessANDONI Iraola confirmed Cherries are set to bring in a goalkeeper to replace the outgoing Mark Travers, as he provided an update on the club’s summer transfer business. It is understood Romanian international goalkeeper Andrei Radu is set to join Cherries on loan from Inter Milan, allowing Mark Travers to head out on a temporary deal with Stoke City. “There is movement going on, but we have to wait until everything is closed. “Probably it will be another keeper coming, for Mark. “That is the idea, but it is not official, so we have to wait until everything is done, medicals are done"

It’ll be a Traversty if he doesn’t sign.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers has passed his medical and is set to be announced as Stoke's latest loan signing later today.
While 19-year-old centre-back David Okagbue is set to join League Two Walsall on loan.

Looks like a bloke already despite only being 19, Walsall should be a good move for him I know some are tipping them at a big price for a shock promotion tilt this season.

Everyone at AFC Bournemouth wishes Mark well for the upcoming campaign and looks forward to welcoming him back for the 2024/25 season.
From the Bournemouth announcement.
Really peddling the ‘welcoming back’ line aren’t they!

As we’ve seen in recent seasons having a decent goalkeeper is crucial so it’s great that we’ve managed to bring Travers in who is quality.

If he turns out to be a competent, championship level keeper, this will be the most important, valuable signing for some time.
