Somewhere around where we’ve been the last five years sadly. The turnover required this season was always going to be too much thanks to previous managers legacies. Season 2024/25 is the one. Another free hit then for yet another manager. Mint, can't wait. Oh yeh, quite agree. It’s depressing writing off a season before it’s even begun. Before last season started I knew this season coming was a write off. For me we allowed Rowett too much to spend, Jones was a poor appointment and O Neil stayed at least 12 months too long. The common denominator is the incompetence of the board. Just have to hope there is enough this season to show hope for next. If that hasn’t materialised by Christmas then big decisions to be made.

Ridiculous to even make any sort of guess when we and just about everyone else, is putting their teams together.

Hahaha it’s like trying to forecast what the weather will be in 2 years time.
A top half finish would be genuine progress.
I can’t commit to anything more than that based on what we know now.

7th.
Just missing out but showing lots of promise. It's a much tougher league this season with at least 6 or 7 decent sides.

After smashing Notts County I'm saying 1st with UEFA inviting us into the Champions League to boost international interest
Could really be 1-24 as luck plays more of a role in this league than it should

If the manager is any good, anything is achievable. Going on our last few seasons getting into the top 6 would be good. On that basis I predict 8th.

Between 12th and 13th.
I’ll be optimistic and say 12th.

Bottom half flirting with relegation. I don’t like Neil but if this is the case, I don’t see what good sacking him will do either. I don’t like him either, but I’m going to be optimistic and say there has to come a time when we break out of our slump. I’m going with 8th.

I reckon Stoke will finish 9 th .
I see Middlesbrough have already signed 7 players, including 2 goalies, Van Der berg ( who turned down Dortmund, Milan and Roma) and the young Aussie. Sammy silvera , also highly rated . They are not messing about, they are covered for goalkeeping injuries, they have players in an early and they are definitely intending to start as they mean to go on , on August 5 th . They are going for promotion/ play offs THIS season.
I honestly think, the powers that be at Stoke, are looking longer term. I don't think we will be good to go on August 5 th ( though I jolly well hope so !)
Unfortunately I think we are looking for progress ( yes , we have fell that low )
I am going to go for 9 th .

What are those clubs interested in Van Der Berg for? In the Bundesliga he was bottom 10% for tackling, bottom 15% for aerial duels and an average passer. He's barely championship level.

As it stands we'll be lucky to stay up. Sign a few more footballers then we'll finish mid table.
Not good enough.

Ah , I think there might be more than one Van Der berg Boro's one played in Holland www.mfc.co.uk/news/2023/july/06/get-to-know--rav-van-den-berg/Widely reported elsewhere that Jose mourinho offered him a contract at Roma , so presumably decent?
