I’m looking to get back into biking after a 10 year lay off. Are there any other bikers on here? I’m thinking about either the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 or the Super Meteor 650.

Yep Triumph Street Triple 765RS
I have only been riding on a full licence for 18mths, but find the bikers community really welcoming & friendly. Plenty of Bike meets The Blythe on a Weds, Raven in Whitchurch on a Thursday.

Are you into the custom motorcycle? I think I’d go for the 650, not fast but the 350 would be dog slow. What did you ride before?

I’m running a BSA Thunderbolt 650, a lovely machine although I’m going through a run of snags at the moment. I’m looking for a second bike and I really fancy an air cooled BMW twin. I’d love the long range potential, with the old bike charm and more modern reliability.

I have a Kawasaki Z1000SX
Don’t use it much these days, but immensely more comfortable than my previous Kawasaki ZX6R!

2009 HD Street Bob under me. Had a beautiful ride into work this morning, although the haze from the Canadian wild fires was creeping back in on the ride home.

Glad I spotted this thread. Iv got my theory and CBT booked next week, with the intention of getting my full licence soon after.
I’m planning on jumping straight in with a HD sportster 883 or 1200. Really like cruisers. Any advice? My only motorbike experience comes from motocross roughly 20 years ago!

BMW S1000 RR would be my weekender if I had a garage and lived in a warmer state! I still have a full motorcycle from when I rode a Kawasaki EX500 back in the 90s. Hard to believe I went out in some of the conditions back then rain, heat, snow, city, highway, bugs etc. If I do go get back on the bike I'd want to retake the safety course first, then it would be 7am Sunday runs to the beach for coffee!

Do it mate. You won’t regret it.

The only reason I’m leaning towards the 1200 is my brother in law, who also rides, told me as soon as I’m used to the 883 I’ll want the bigger one! 😂
