I like everything the Arctic Monkeys have produced up to and including AM. The last two albums haven't been for me to be honest. Turner's sucked the life out of them tonight with this weird crooner act that he insists on playing. I've never seen a Glasto crowd look so bored shitless watching a headliner. Butchering 505 as badly as he did should be considered a fucking war crime. I've come on here this morning to get a feel of the feedback for the Arctic monkeys set. I've never got them even though as my son's favourite band they're probably the band that I want most to like on the planet. It was a night of nothingness I enjoyed Snap out of it, Cornerstone and Four out of five but after that I was as bored as most of the crowd. The polite applause after each track died down fairly quickly. Now Fred Again were different gravy, absolutely joyous....

Sparks playing This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Both Of Us sounded great. Dipped into the rest of their set and it sounded pretty good too. The new stuff from Sparks in recent years has been high quality as was their collaboration with Franz Ferdinand. Cate Blanchett was as awesome live last night as in the video and you can see that she gets the Sparks thing completely This Town always transports me to a back in the day when I was taking a shortcut across old Apedale to my mates house in Chesterton. As I dropped down to Loomer Road this was being belted out from the speedway, it's one of the best pieces of music ever laid down. They were charming being interviewed by Jo Wiley before the set.

Had to switch Arctic Monkeys off last night, wasn’t doing it for me.
Also, I’m still slightly aggrieved that their opening song on their first album wasn’t “I bet you look good on the dance floor”. View from the afternoon is a good song, but I just think that if they’d gone with it they’d be able to enter the debate around strongest opening song on debut (full) album.

Agree on Sparks on all counts, including the interview. Just had a peer at the lyrics to This Town. A reminder, even if the drama, drive and melody weren’t enough, of its quality. A sublime song that takes me right back to my O-levels.

Just had a listen to Kimono My House over breakfast and it still sounds fresh and original if a little quirky. I do like a little falsetto now and then. It just struck me there’s more than a bit of early Queen in there. Or maybe there’s more than a bit of Sparks in early Queen.

Saw him in Barcelona last year and he was having the time of his life. Not heard many better dance songs than 'Baxter (these are my friends' in the last 5 years. If you like Fred Again, check out TSHA

Shame Foals aren't on again this year. They always ramp it up for festival gigs.

Rick Astley is doing a stonkin’ set at the moment Can’t stand his songs but hats off to him - that was a cracking set. Didn’t know he played the drums whilst singing too. Complete opposite to that dirge by AM last night.

Rick Astley is doing a stonkin’ set at the moment He doesn't gove a toss and fair play to him. His Smiths covers with Blossoms are joyful. If you'd told me in 1987 Rick Astley would be doing the Smiths I'd have said you were nuts.

Thoroughly enjoying Jockstrap. What a woman! Up there with the set of the weekend so far for me, absolutely thrilled for them, they nailed it. Georgia will presumably be playing again tomorrow as she's the violinist in Black Country, New Road. Murder Capital smashing it aswell. The Comet is Coming was the highlight of yesterday for me.

I like aitch I loved Rick Astleys set, just good fun and a great set, his drumming was great He was absolutely buzzing and I thought his band were great. Really impressed Loved the funk break at the end when he gave his band a solo each and how he made a huge point to them taking the applause together at the end, proper statesmanship and a real showman, might be a headliner one day! Mrs flea79 might have pissed herself with excitement when aitch got Anne Marie on stage with him Looking forward to guns and roses later!

Just watching BBC 2 now. God knows who this is, but it's tedious 'Millennial Whoop' garbage. The reason that current radio music has been unlistenable and generic for 15+ years.
Guns n Roses will have some classic tunes. Although way past their live best, still can do it.

Well what an absolute slobberknocker of a performance that was from Astley and Blossoms. The crowd were incredible. Moving on to the Manics
