Saw his first game and last game and the majority in between. Unplayable on his day.

Always hoped hed come back to us. Think there were rumours it was going to happen in 88 but we signed Beagrie instead. In hindsight a good move by Mills

Always remember one of his first games for us, away v Birmingham we were 4 nil up at half time. Chamberlain had absolutely torn them apart and scored two goals in the process. Could be a reason why his favourite away fans were Birmingham City as anyone who saw that first half performance, home or away, would have applauded it.

As I remember, it all started to go sour for him, & us, when the game would start & within a short time he would start to hold the small of his back, with both hands. We knew then that we weren't going to be entertained by him during that game. He would play on it, & then would go off. The supporters got a bit tired of seeing this each home game, & eventually, when he was sold we weren't upset by it, as he wasn't such a loss to us on the field. I suppose that in a way, we felt a bit cheated. He definitely was a magician. But not in the end. Not for us, anyway. Still my favourite Stoke player though.

Was very lucky to get to know Peter and his late Wife Lynn Lynn told me that Beagrie adored Mick Mills and only came to Stoke for that very reason. Lynn sadly passed away of cancer after a long battle. They were great people at the time9

Wasnt like he did great things after he left us. That said, wednesday under Wilkinson was totally the wrong move for him

Some very standard answers there however 'Friendliest away fans... Birmingham City' has to be unique Didn't he tear Birmingham a new one when we beat them 4-1 at St Andrew's?

Like buying a racehorse to pull a milk cart.

I really do hope we get Umbro back as kit manufacturers in the hope they create us an updated version of this absolute classic. That kit is everything a Stoke kit should be. Nothing to fancy or flash, just distinctive & cool looking. Yes, but would it have a big white square on the back!

Unlike the pinstripe strip we had for the following 2 seasons

Last Stoke player to score for England I think - admittedly not much competition for that accolade.
