Just a quick question as there are no trains on Saturday does anyone know if you can still catch the National Express to Manchester as it showing there arent any at all on any day?Is this right or am I malfunctioning?

I tried to use them to get back from Liverpool a couple of years ago, think there was one bus over the whole day so it wouldn't surprise me if the Manchester route is similar. Baffles me how most countries in Europe manage to provide a coordinated, efficient, timely and reasonably priced public transport system yet we struggle to achieve anything of the sort.

Utterly pathetic it is.They tell us to use public transport and there isnt any,so we either have to drive or stay trapped in our own city. Ive only been back about two years and Maybe its what they want actually thinking about it.

Flixbus only have an 04:20 or 13:55 departure left on Saturday, Megabus have only 04:55 or 13:55.
Slim pickings to say the least........

Ive only been back about two years and Maybe its what they want actually thinking about it. It's a fucking joke mate. I desperately want to try to do the right thing, and so last year made a conscious effort to use the trains for work (I work in central Birmingham) instead of driving. I stuck it out all year on principle, and have never been so perpetually late, so often and spent endless lost hours hanging around on freezing platforms waiting for late and even cancelled trains. I've been on trains that have been broken down and spent 4 hours being recovered back to Stafford, missing all my meetings in London that day. Add in the price hikes and the strikes and it's a fucking farce. Decided in the New Year to fuck it and just drive, looked around at various car options, and as none of them were quite right (no matter what many say on here we are not geared up for fully electric vehicles yet and won't be for years) so bought a new (to me) mild hybrid diesel motorway muncher. I've been late once in 5 months.

Need to go to Glasgow in early October for a meeting. Had an email from Trainline, telling me that there are now strikes planned for that day, meaning it's looking like I'll need to drive. Wank.
Get to f££% !!!

I'll stick to using my diesel car thanks.
