Went mad the other day and on the spur of the moment I bought a narrowboat. Just for holidays not to live on.
Doe's anyone else have one on here?
May change it's name, anyone got any ideas? my Mrs said call it Delilah of course.

The last time i had a whim like that i bought beef hula hoops instead of plain.
On a more serious note call your boat "Marge"
(Marge the Barge)

Don't know about the Barge but, you and your wife should change your names to Rosie and Jim.

I live in Horton (Near Rudyard) So hopefully going to put it on the Cauldon Canal nr Endon, trouble is I know a few people down there and can't find a mooring yet. Got a temporaryish one though. Yep the holidays are mint best we've had. Look! Theres a pub.... STOP!!!

never mind I take it you don't like to travel far on holiday's then Not for me, I think I'd prefer a caravan and I can't stand those, there were hundreds of those barges all moored up at Anderton at the weekend when I went for a jog down that way, all belching out smoke as they cooked their tea.

Great STM but just a little advice on moorings..... Brother in law bought a boat (he lives in Leek) but found that mooring it on the Cauldon canal anywhere towards the north eastern end meant that any week-end jaunt would always include several hours on the same stretch of canal to get onto the main canal system in Stoke which his missus got really pissed off with. So now he moors it even further to the north east near Leek and now his missus wont even go on the barge with him.

He's a shrewd man ;D Yes we have thought of that, it's a long way to the Trent and Mersey, I'll comission my old man to take it mind you he'll crash anything ;D
