Yes.
Thought the finnish song was one of the worst, so I'm pleased. Estonia and Belgium both top 10, I believe.
Ireland and Sweden 7 wins each now. Loreen the first woman to win ESC twice ever!

I actually quite liked the Sweden winning song more so than I did hearing it originally, after hearing it at the finale stage. Still disappointed Israel fell away but at least a decent song won it as opposed one of the euro-trash efforts.
All done for another year, I always see Eurovision as a kind of divide between spring and summer especially with the light nights properly drawing out now, bring on the Summer!

Essentially in the morning I'm going to wake up with a massive hangover after spending a fiver on a bet I knew wouldn't come in on Italy whilst simultaneously having a virginaĺ wank over Mel Giedroyc churning butter - I fucking love Eurovision!!

I'm not gay or owt, by I really enjoyed the show last night. It was the first time I've watched it since the 80's, and we dragged the two teenage boys in to watch it.
Great night as a family, and I was shocked about how mant songs I actually liked.
Finland was not the best song, but it was the best performance, so I'm glad their huge public vote added real tension to the scoring.
Good to see that the public vote for Norway put her in a more deserving position.
The Czechia song really grew on my on the night.
Belgium's reworking of the Take Twat version of Re-light My Fire, did nothing for me.
I thought France deserved to do better, her voice was epic.
Despite little love for it, I thought Serbia had a really good song, but it was not suited for the occasion.
Moldova's song was more than decent to me.
The girl from Israel, can dance all night for me.
Sweden was a worthy winner, although she was a bit shout (like man others on the night).
Finally, I'd like to have a go on the night's real winner, Hannah Waddingham, is she 7 foot tall?

Had a massive feature on music from Liverpool including a couple of song I’ve never heard but don’t include anything by the Beatles- is that shit or just a copyright thing?

The committee had bought, Back In The USSR, and then realised it would not go down too well. Their budget was blown, so in stepped Sonia.

We’ll into it this year Family tradition eat or drink something from each country participating. Failed miserably this time so reduced to drinking a shot for each act. Working on the theory that each act has been to Italy France Spain or Portugal on holiday we’ve so far drunk six Bottles of red,two white two bottles of port ( one each of red and white) a bottle of sherry and copious amounts of Belgian beer! Who gives a shite who wins😂😂😂😂 Me - I've a fiver on Italy and if that doesn't come in all I've got to show for the evening is a guilty wank over Mel Giedroyc churning butter. You've had a nightmare there, even more so if you didn't have a cameo appearance from Hannah Waddingham with Mel.

Not a fan of Eurovision and don’t watch it, but I was in Liverpool City Centre yesterday afternoon and the place was absolutely buzzing, the sun was shining everywhere was packed inside and out and the atmosphere was really friendly. It certainly good for local economy if nothing else……

A strange sequence and then some Do you know what, I rather suspect it was an editorial decision more than anything else. With such a short slot they probably decided they couldn't include both a Lennon song AND a Beatles song and elected to go with Imagine. It was odd though to represent the Liverpool song book with contributions from Mel C, Atomic Kitten, Sonia and a song written by Rodgers & Hammerstein, whilst ignoring the likes of the Beatles, the Bunnymen, Elvis Costello, OMD and Frankie amongst others.

They had the opportunity to feature Lennon & McCartney's slightly less well known Back in SOT, but thought better of it. It goes something like this: Those Blurton girls really knock me out They leave the rest behind The Shelton girls make me sing and shout That Meir's always on my ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-my mind.

I'm thinking about earthworks, obvs.

Didn't watch but had a look in at the end to see who won. Had to laugh at the commentator saying the blue and yellow lighting was a tribute to Ukraine only for the camera to then switch to a group of Swedes holding up their flag which is, er, blue and yellow.

Can't help but feel the juries have too much weighting in the result relative to the televote.
I do think they're important to help neutralise the political / regional voting bias that you get more of from the televote, but I'd prefer to see the juries restricted to only those from the 26 nations competing rather than all 37+ countries.
Got to feel for Finland given they won the people's vote so resoundingly and were clearly the most popular song in the arena.

Also, the fact that McCartney holds the rights to the back catalogue nowadays (or at least most of it), after settling with Sony a few years back and you'd have thought that Macca would have been more than happy to do his bit on such a major night for the city.
If it was therefore editorial, then its a bonkers decision really. If you can only have one or the other, i think most would go for The Beatles as it was all 4 of them together that changed pop music around the world, not just John.
I'm guessing the reason for favouring Atomic kitten etc. over OMD etc. is purely down to the fact that most of the audience around the world wont be big fans of any of them and are just more likely to remember the later acts due to the amount of time that has elapsed, rather than due to talent or overall influence.
