So Bet365 is owned by Hillside plc in Malta..... can't imagine why any company would want to make the most out of Maltas tax regime where companies can pay just 5% tax on turnover.

The license that the UK brewers use is a watered down version of the real thing, so the English brought it upon themselves. Still it makes some sense as many Englishmen can't hold their drink very well.

Despite a 95% decrease in profit she's still the second highest tax payer in the UK (source: www.gamblingnews.com/news/bet365-groups-profit-sank-by-95-revenue-marginally-up/) Until this year, tax on gambling was on 15% (compared to corporation tax that was 19%), increasing this year to 21% and 25% respectively. 5% Tax on turnover of £2.85bn is MUCH more than 15% of just under £50m in profits, so I'm pretty sure the taxes are being paid in the UK. While the company is by no means a shining beacon of light, it paid more UK tax last year than all of Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, Google, Microsoft, 32Red, Ladbrokes, Coral and Flutter (Paddy Power) combined. On the subject itself, I'd have liked to have seen some of the examples given to see for myself what it is that's not been considered editorial. I'm trying to rack my brains how any mention of Peter Schmeichel in 2019/2021 from bet365 could be seen as marketing, as he's retired and I can't see how they'd use him to advertise gambling without any odds to give?

Carlsberg ‘green’ is about 3.4 % whereas, ‘silver’ is the 5% enjoyed all over the world. badger is right elephant beer is a cracking drink
