Got 2 dogs both had D and V since Sunday, they have been the vets and told to give them food little and often, and we have also got some sachets of powder to put over their food.
Thing is they don’t seem to be getting any better and I’ve been up with them both every night since Sunday.
Without another extortionate trip to the vets is there anything else I can try? As operating on 2 hours sleep per night is losing its appeal.

Depending on the cause diarrhoea & vomiting in dogs can last between 24 hrs and several days. You can self help by only giving cooled boiled water, rice, chicken or white fish in small amounts. Also consider a 24 hr fast if possible. Check for blood & vomit and poo as well which is more serious.

Rice and dry toast I’ve always used, brothers dog had the same symptoms a few weeks back, right as rain after 5 days or so.

One is better but still only on scrambled egg the other is still shitting water every 2 hours. 2 more trips to the vets for some injections and £400 lighter.

Disgusting prices mate, I had a renewal from Petplan £878 F that, rang Admiral £300 and a better package overall, Petplan were quite rude when I rang to cancel whereas Admiral were outstanding with their customer service so much so I took out their platinum package and sent a complementary email about the girl who sold me the package
