Isn't this his first season in men's football? If so, he wasn't bloody bad was he?

He's certainly better than any midfielder Stoke have on their permanent staff

As with EVERY one of the current squad, we needed more from Will and more consistently too. That's quite an ask for a young player and, for me, he showed enough to suggest he will have a big future in the game. I doubt that will be at Stoke, he needs better players around him to benefit from his work rate and ability at set pieces. He, along with Brown, were the key components of our 'press', which proved so successful. in some games at least. Funny how that dropped off when Brown got injured.

He may not be the right player for us but he will go on to have a good career in my opinion. Possibly but he’s not even done the basics like passing well. Underhit or usually behind a player. He needs to play deeper and concentrate on improving his passing.

His form has tracked the performance of the team exactly: started off shite, carried on being shite, went amazing for a little while, finished off being shite again.
We need better.

Don't think I have ever felt like this but there is not one of the present squad I would lose any sleep about if they went. Neil has got a big rebuilding job on his hands pre season.

I think he’ll be a good premier league player, better team makes a better player. It’s not his fault he’s surrounded my a shower of dog shit. It was a loan worth the risk and in the main he’s been ok and for a brief period when we were playing well was excellent

Somebody’s got it wrong the consensus seems to be he wot be missed and yet the manager thinks he’s sn ever present and is kern to keep the loan players , the chasm between management and supporters grows ever wider .

Bloody good in 6 or 7. OK in a dozen or so. Shite in 20 or more.
Maybe he’ll try in every game if he ever gets selected at Southampton.

I don't think anyone did, did they? Plenty did including the manager. Nah, I'd revise my statement too maybe a handful but I'm not buying the Neil thought he would stay* *but then he did think Powell could play as a lone centre forward so maybe he did?

“Thrived” is not the same as always selected. He just does not create chances. Glad he’ll be gone.

Let's put it it this way....
When he goes back to Southampton and we face up against him next season, the fact he's in their side won't worry me one bit.

I like him as he’s a tidy player but he’s not a game changer and doesn’t really excel at anything eg pace, shooting etc. That said he’s been one of our better players but in the last 2-3 games he’s looked uninterested.

As others have said, I think his consistency hasn't been there (which is probably to be expected in his first full season). And that's telling with our results, when he's looked on form so have the rest of the team. He also looks a bit weak playing in the championship. Presses well from midfield but doesn't really put himself about. I think if he can continue to get game time at Southampton next year he'll develop in a similar way Harwood-Belis has.

His stats for us this season were on the poor side, from what I've seen. He was ok, no better and no worse. It's difficult to understand why Neil blew so much smoke up his arse.. we need better in that position.
