The scary thing each & every time Tymon received the ball on the left flank he immediately turned back on himself & passed it backwards. He didn't even look to take the defender on even though we had 3 or 4 players in the box in dangerous positions. My thoughts were, is he lacking confidence and was scared to take people on & either deliver crosses in or to run into the box. Or has this been coached into him & part of his pre match instructions to do & he's doing as he's told?! Either way it's quite scary & most definitely not productive to the cause.

People overhyped him and he was never as good as people were suggesting and itβs why he should have been sold last summer because it was a one off.
This club is shit.

When things are going well he goes really well, when things go badly he doubts himself and plays safe.

In truth I donβt think heβs a footballer.
Yesterday his performance, well lack of one was one of the worst Iβve ever witnessed, disgraceful he has the nerve to pull on a Stoke shirt.

If Leeds or whatever was after him before came back for him a move would do him good.

Heβs weak minded He had two of βour betterβ attacks yesterday whereby he should have hammered the ball towards goal but inexcusably he side footed them, it wasnβt a shot and certainly wasnβt a cross to anyone. Recall a poster sometime ago referring to him as the boy with no face, presumably because heβs never noticed on the pitch, sums him up perfectly.

I wondered if he was carrying some kind of niggle or injury? Second half he was standing (literally) in front of me and he didn't look comfortable.

Heβs never had the ability to beat a player. All heβs ever been capable of is knocking the ball past and running beyond them. Never had the skill or ability to take a player on

Just watched the 10 minute highlights package on Sky and his reaction or lack of it for their goal summed him up perfectly The two things that immediately spring to kind are 1) how on earth did they manage to put together a 10 minute highlights package from that monstrosity of a game and 2) what possessed you to watch it?

I think Tymon is a confidence/ momentum player. When things are going well he goes really well, when things go badly he doubts himself and plays safe. I can attest to that. After my recent injuries I've been having a hard time getting my head around things, and it's really tough. Bojan mentioned it too, having that belief in yourself and working hard, not rushing back etc. I think many players are confidence players, most actually. Ok I'm not at their level but it is the same throughout the pyramid. I mean the rest of the team are hardly on fire either.

Needs a move for me. Heβs been very poor for a while now. Looks totally devoid of confidence. He was so easy to predict yesterday, as others have said, got the ball, went a few yards and then turned back. He just does not have a right foot so when he cuts inside a player, suddenly he's buggered because he won't use his right foot! I can't believe Neil kept him on all game, but maybe he was worth moving to the right side so that when he cut in he'd be on his left foot? It's not just him though, most games you see on TV etc there will be attacks or moves that don't flow as they should because players just won't use their weaker foot. Surely we should expect better with the amount of money they're paid and hope that they'd actually practice with their weaker foot a considerable amount more during training

If he's up against a decent player, ie Laird, he loses his competitive edge, shits himself and doesn't take him on.
He just doesn't have that edge and some of us were calling for him and brown to be sold last summer. We had a chance to get some money for them then

And Laird was booked after 20 mins so why not keep taking him on as he'd be slightly wary of getting another yellow

Probably realized how pointless the tactic of playing balls into the box for Gayle and Campbell was π
The best chance we had of scoring was when the crosses reached Sterling at the back post.
Terrible game from Tymon though.

I think Tymon can only play in a 3-5-2 formation
That formation doesn't work for us and for that reason is sell, can't see us getting anywhere like 3 or 4 million, but I think he needs a move

He had that really good spell at the beginning of last season under MON until opposition teams sussed him out for the limited one trick pony that he is.
Stop him running down the outside he either turns back and passes it to whoever happens to be playing LS centre back or comes inside before cluelessly running into traffic.
The reality is that he is no better than McLean. In fact I'd put McLean ahead of him as he scores more goals.

Yes last season he was taking his man on over and over then sending crosses in (no centre forward not his fault) This season he's checked and passed backwards

Always thought he was a downgrade on McClean if anything, which takes some doing at this level. Headless chickens both.

And Laird was booked after 20 mins so why not keep taking him on as he'd be slightly wary of getting another yellow This is what really gripped my shit. From the second Laird got that yellow card we should have been giving the ball to Tymon and letting him run at Laird inviting a challenge. Tymon should have been demanding the ball. From the moment Laird got his yellow card he was never once put under any pressure. And to cap it all he was the main culprit taking the piss time wasting. Not only are we a shit team with no heart we're also totally brain dead. A Sunday morning team would have known to have targeted the player on the yellow.

Despite him still being under contract for next season, I really hope Neil( if he is still here) tells Tymon that he should be looking for a new club, as he has no future here. Terrible defender, good engine but doesn't add a great deal going forward either. One good game in ten, if we're lucky.
