Was lucky enough to be there tonight and what a brilliant bloke he is, very humble and none of the “I’m too big to be at stoke” crap. A lovely bloke and an absolute pleasure to meet him. Agree matey and it was an excellent night. Don't think Gary Rowett is on his Xmas card list.... What was said about Rowett?

For the first time this season I stayed in my seat at half time to see Bojan. He loves it down here doesn’t he? Thought that the round of applause & ole ole ole chant showed him how much the fans appreciated him.

He could have been called upon at any point yesterday, still wearing the same clothes and contributed more than Tymon and Gayle.

What's this about him having to pay for his own flights and accommodation? I know he's not short of money, but it seems like an incredibly Stoke thing to do.

Where have you heard that or are you just stirring? I would imagine for a fund raising thing like at Ricardo's he would either have been paid his standard appearance fee or at the very least had his expenses paid - nobody does that for nothing however much goodwill there is. I don't believe he holds enough affection for the club to have been out of pocket for coming here.

Apparently it wasn't that Stoke didn't offer anything,Bojan chose to pay his own travel costs. After attending on Friday night and witnessing his love for our club,I didn't think my respect for him could get any higher but it has.
Top footballer and top bloke.

Sounded absurd enough to be something that Stoke would do but that's fair. Really glad he got such a good reception and fans were able to show him how fondly he's thought of here

Mark Hughes has to take enormous credit for bringing him to Stoke - one of 5 champions League winners that we had at the club at that point.

Although hardly possible, on this visit he managed to increase the esteem the club hold him in.

Felt a little embarrassed for him and us,can only imagine what he thought, diabolical football,no atmosphere and a ole sang by a pitiful amount of fans, How far we’ve fallen, sad really.

Incredible signing as it got closer to happening it seemed obvious we would be gazumped by a more glamorous club Couldn't possibly sign for Stoke, ludicrous idea Hughes had his flaws, they all do, but he pulled off some amazing deals , especially when the money wasn't there

Apparently he's no longer able to play more than 10-20 minutes in today's game. He said so himself in one of the many interviews that appeared when he announced his retirement. For a charity game it's a different matter, but no tackles, please. No running up and down the pitch. Just do at a game at Fuller's current pace.

He also remarked that from day 1 everybody connected with Stoke, management, players, staff and us fans made him more than welcome hence his love for our club. It's a pity the powers that be could not release footage of last Friday as it was an ace night and well worth a watch.

Does anyone know what happened at the end of the night when people were getting pictures with Bojan?
We were stood by the bar and a bloke was being dragged out by two security blokes asking "Why are you doing this to me?".

That’d be superb. Would have good pull as a sporting director He certainly sounds like he’s after a job here. I’m not sure I’m totally against it, we saw with Hughes that sometimes the pull of the individual is as important as the club (not saying he’d be head coach though).

I’m not sure I’m totally against it, we saw with Hughes that sometimes the pull of the individual is as important as the club (not saying he’d be head coach though). He might want the job as sd, but the position doesn't exist at Stoke. It won't come up while the board prefers to appoint old school dinasours. For it to happen the board would have to appoint a foreigner who'd insist on having an sd beside/below/above him. With Bojan as yet having no experience as coach or sd, it would have to be someone like Luis Enrique who'd be willing to take him under his wings, but Enrique wouldn't be interested in managing a lower league club in England. He'd be interested in Spurs or Leeds. Then when he gets sacked, and managers always do at those clubs, then the board can appoint a Bojan-NN combo, but that would be some years further down the line.
