Good old Stoke, never let you keep too much joy and excitement for too long, do they!
Only saw the second half, genuinely awful. Couldn't find a pass, second to every ball, no invention, weirdly poor.

Credt to Bristol City played exceptionally well second half. You could sense it coming and it did. Very disappointing. Don't think the subs helped.

Back to the drawing board because that second half was as bad as it's been. Shocking performance.

Just the most Stoke thing ever.
They all looked shattered.
Bristol City totally outfoxed us.
Bizarrely we’d have only been 7 points of the playoffs if we’d had won.
Crazy eh.

How the hell can you go from 10/10 in the 1st.half to 0/10 in the 2nd.? It's like when you're boning the Mrs and get cramp in one of your butt cheeks. Fucking painful.

Odd person to pick out. We’ve been successful in the last 5 because our central midfield was better than anyone else’s. Smallbone started poor but we still won everything. This half, we’ve lost ever 50-50 and have paid for it. We can blame the defence, but the midfield lost us this game in my opinion. We need like-for-like replacements for players like Laurent and Smallbone in the Summer. Why? Hardly been in the game second half. Looks like he's dragging a 20kg weight around. Granted they've all looked average today. It's odd because he was probably our MOTM today (granted there wasn't too much to choose from)

We just shaded 1st Half. However we were stuck in 2nd gear, for some reason we couldn’t snap out of it. Smallpiece & Laurent were well off the pace. Not happy with the subs, Celina was a waste of a sub and taking off Hoever led to their goal, Bell was free with the cross from the right. Midfield did lose the game as some have already said.

What it does show is how poor our squad is outside the first 11.

We played with a swagger and confidence a team on a 25 match run should have, not one that has gone 5 unbeaten. First 20 minutes we were very good but wasteful with the final ball (particularly Laurent), as soon as King came on the momentum swung. We looked like a team who’ve started to believe they’re own hype…….

We can’t afford lose them games if we want play offs next season. We need to focus on getting top half first, haven't been there all season have we? Or in any of the seasons since we came down for that matter.

Very poor today, we were lucky to be leading at ht, they had 2 great chances but our 2nd performance was dire.

Played well first half, poor second half, looked shattered & leggy to me....bit of a reality check. We need Tuanzebe back in and playing every week.

A reality check, didn’t press properly, sloppy and as someone said earlier perhaps too cocky after a few good results. Midfield poor today, didn’t play as a unit. Subs just made things worse.

Yeah midfield was all over the place.
They just seemed to have so much time.
Very very poor today.
Such a kick in the teeth.

Shows how well we have done recently to get the most out of our squad. No left back, a past it CB, no CF and a midfield good at playing on the break but no creativity and poor defensively - while his covering is excellent, defending one on one Pearson is average at best. At home, can’t play Laurent and Smallbone against teams who don’t come at us.
A useful reminder of the work we needed this summer

Probably just as well, I'm not sure I'd quite know how to react if I genuinely felt I followed a team I could rely on!
That feeling of crushing disappointment after last week's high is just so much more relatable!
Maybe next season we'll have enough decent players for a side good enough to beat poor sides and cope with off days against competent but unspectacular sides like Bristol City.
Not quite sure how you manage to lose five home games on the bounce against a club like that, but perhaps we've played like we did today every time?

Shit happens, we go again Monday. We were always going to slip up at some point. This is a wake up call and a reminder that this summer is so important - Not that Neil didn't know that already.
Credit to Bristol, they deserved the win. We were garbage in the second half.

Not one player in the second half could be bothered. Just hope Neil notes it and sorts the soft anti home bottlers out
