Rot in hell you bastard. Reposting as it was removed. I've just checked the security log and there hasn't been a post removed from this thread. And if your post was removed, do you think that gives you the green light to re-post it? Why not just delete the thread, havn`t we got enough Vile Tory cunts v Vile Lefty cunts abusive threads on the Oatie at the mo ?

You should read the threads sometimes rather than attempting (and failing) to attack me at every opportunity. Lawson along with Thatcher, tore this country apart and the mess we are now in is their legacy. So yes I hope both of them are burning in hell right now. Hope this clears things up for you Knype.

Anyway now you have had a ticking off, be a good boy

how can anyone here walk around Stoke On Trent and then come here and defend Lawson and the old bat Thatcher? we better have buried them both with garlic around their necks and a stake through their hearts. decimated not just our city but the entire country's middle class and that damage will last generations. Malebolge is too kind for them.

Isn’t it better sometimes just to say nothing than have a competitition as to who’s the biggest tory hater.

I know where you're coming from but I think it was a bit naive of Gods to start an RIP thread for somebody very much responsible for the decimation of the city, what sort of responses was he expecting? I'd be very surprised if somebody started an RIP thread for say, I dunno, Putin. I'm not directly comparing the two but just making the point that if you start such a thread about a controversial character that destroyed the lives of many local people, then you're either being extremely naive or deliberately provocative.

In normal cases I’d agree with you but not with anybody who was connected to that vile government back then To get respect you’ve got to earn it ….I’ll save my respect for those who committed suicide and lost their livelihoods, marriages, family etc caused by Lawson and the other cabinet party members They were evil bastards each and every one of them …..just see Stoke on Trent now for proof of it

To be honest, I don't remember him starting a RIP thread before, I thought that was Hamsta's job!

Time to shit can this one. I'm no Tory... Fuck that... But maybe it's time to have some sort of temporary ban on political threads. Every one seems to result in a near vertical slide downward propelled by liquid shit.

Instead of talking about posters on Oatcake, let's debate about a man who actually changed Britain, for better or worse depending on your point of view. capx.co/nigel-lawson-was-that-rare-thing-a-true-political-giant/Blair's government did more for low income people, NHS, etc. than any other government but they did it on the back of an economy that was transformed from the disastrous 70s to Blair inheriting the healthiest condition economy in the 20th century.

An economy that was hopelessly focused on the south-east and made no provision for the end of traditional British industry elsewhere. That stole the brightest kids from the rest of the UK and drove them to London to create a wealth bubble. That expects the north to be grateful after sucking the countries wealth into that one small corner and begrudges investment into the places that made Britain great and now wants to keep ‘their’ tax money. That managed to replicate the wealth divisions between west and east Germany in 1980 in the UK by 2020. Almost every ill of this country today has its roots in the Reagan/Thatcher/Lawton legacy of failure. And yes, that includes Brexit.
