Have read the forum, 30 odd page. Very complimentary re Stoke, and very many of their saying we were unlucky not to win. They were also very complimentary about our style of play, with no rubbish about 'physicality' and the usual rubbish.

Good to hear, but for laughs I preferred it when Warnock criticised the toilets.

From the BBC website:
One of the best matches I've watched (on TV) all season - highly competitive, some excellent skills, goalmouth action...everything. And I'm a Burnley supporter! Middlesbrough are class, no doubt about it. But Stoke were outstanding and, imho, deserved to edge it. Great game of football.

Always find Boro fans to be fair and sensible. Completely different from Newcastle and Sunderland fans who think that because they get good crowds have the divine right to be in the top flight and hold some sort of football god like status. The reality is that noone gives a flying fuck about them.

The third paragraph isn’t very complimentary at all. One of the best end to end games I have seen in a while and this shit gets written? “Credit to Stoke City In analysing the game, while there is naturally a habit to focus solely on Boro, there are two teams on that pitch and sometimes you have to credit Stoke City. With little to play for now this season, they've hit form with the loss of pressure and came into the game having won four of the last six and having scored eight goals in their last two. Until those two late saves though, Boro limited the Potters to very few chances, with their goal about the only major opportunity they had of the first half. But it's fair to say Boro didn't have many of their own either. That's in large down to Stoke and the way that they managed the game. They came to the Riverside and killed the flow of the game essentially. It didn't make for a pretty watch, but ultimately, with Boro a side quite ruthless when in full-flow under Carrick, you can't blame them and should expect as much. For Stoke, it worked.”

Interesting with the Burnley fan above too. I think we've been the better side against both sides twice now. This league is wank.

we can now see what a great job Alex Neil is doing when boro came to stoke everyone was saying they were the best side we have faced, now that Alex as bought a few players in and we seem to have a settled side boro fans and manager are saying we are the best side to visit them, this league is not the best, now we have asettled side we are quiet capable of beating anyone in it,, i know burnley are flying but i bet we would give them a run for there money now,

Sadly he had to work with a poor squad without a system, low levels of fitness and confidence. The recent window gives a glimpse of what he is capable of when he can sign his own players!

The reality is that noone gives a flying fuck about them. I worked in the North East for a few years and that was my experience too. The Geordies and Mackems were entertaining and a bit wacky with delusions of grandeur. I did feel for the Geordies during the Mike Ashley years, but that's all gone now the Saudis are in. The Boro fans always seemed the most level-headed.

His advice go to every trip and drink it all in. I took his advice and went to all of the games, he was bang on.

Although I couldn't do the Kiev one because of work I wish I'd done the Israel one with my old man now but Croatia,Switzerland,Turkey and Spain were brilliant. Have to pinch myself sometimes that I've seen us in Europe.

They made better use of the ball than Boro were able to as Carrick noted his side lacked a spark. Will Smallbone was particularly impressive in the midfield and gave Hayden Hackney his toughest evening in a Boro shirt to date. Going in Stoke looked a very tricky game on paper and so it proved. It adds to the feeling of it being one point gained." A point gained WTF! 😁

What is it with the North East.
"They stopped us playing"
"They came to kill the game"
Yes, that's the whole effing point of the game. Stop the other team playing and play yourself!

By killing the game do they mean winning it? I'd guess that would kill it. Moanbury needs to look at his Blackburn side last season, lowest possession stats in the division. He's a fucking hypocrite
