Rovers have chucked in some draws lately after that insane run
Another side that doesn't like to be pressed so whoever plays let's make sure we do that

They've only lost 4 games out of 34 it's going to be tough. But play anything like today who knows. They've lost 13 4 draws (& all those recently)

Another team who likes to have the majority of the ball and dominate possession we seem to press and break on teams in transition quite well so looking forward to this one we can definitely get a result here!

Sarkic injury described as "significant", "certainly weeks, not days"
Doesn't seem to have definitely concluded it's season-ending though

What does Powell is progressing and Willmott is okay mean? Haven't played the video but is Tuanzebe mentioned?

What does Powell is progressing and Willmott is okay mean? Haven't played the video but is Tuanzebe mentioned? I would assume that means Powell isn't as injured as he was before but isn't fit enough to start yet whereas Wilmot is fit to start AN has been disingenuous about players not being ready before & then has started them the next day* so who knows *tbh that's fine by me , keeps the opposition guessing

I never really know what he's referring to when he makes this distinction between forwards/wingers, wider in the front three (it's about the third or fourth time he's done it) Nobody really plays old-fashioned wingers in those areas, do they? www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-live-blackburn-news-8234263Do you have enough knowledge now to know how these players tick?Neil: I think the players we've got in the building, I've got a good idea of what they are and what motivates them. I still think that the team in itself is still combining, still finding out what we're good at and what we can improve on. This squad was built for a 3-5-2 system. That's what I was told when I walked in the building and that's why we've had no wingers. I'd probably argue that over the last few games we've been better functioning as a 4-3-3 than we had been as a 3-5-2, which is interesting in that we've arguably got two forward players as wingers at the moment.
I think we've found a lot out about ourselves in terms of what we are and what we're trying to become. Like I've said on many occasions, there's still areas we can certainly improve on and will improve on.

That he sees Brown and Campbell as anything but playing in their correct position at present is confusing to me. They both operate best in the wide role. I don’t know what he means by wingers, because it’s surely not what the traditional use of the word was.
As for the team, I’d be shocked if it changed versus Sunderland (except for Sarkic and possibly Wilmot). If he plays Fox over Wilmot, I’d prefer it if he dropped Jagielka though, who never does well back to back.

Blackburn have GD of +1, worse than our +2 !
Heaven knows how they are 4th, guess they used their goals wisely!
To be honest we should tuck them away with something to spare.

Statistically they’ve had a bit of a mad season, they didn’t draw a match until late January, I think they’ve been on the end of a fair few 3-0 scorelines too. Classic Championship randomness. They couldn’t of picked a worse time to play us, 3-0 Stoke

Great news re Wilmot who’s been playing really well recently. Hopefully no mention of Pearson means he’s ready to go.
Let’s hope we can buck the trend of losing at home after a good away win.
Blackburn will be tough as they’re a good side. Just hope we don’t concede a soft early goal.

Any threat to the game from the weather? I wouldn't have thought so because it's on sky... How bad is it down there?

With the snow are we still expecting this to be on? pitch will be fine it's the surrounding areas what are the problem...see how the day goes if it was a 3 o'clock kick off don't think it would go ahead....

With the snow are we still expecting this to be on? Weather forecast is for sun and 5 degrees later so should imagine it will all be gone by kick off. The current snow is expected to stop at 8am.

Had snowfall overnight in ST5 but it’s thawing now. The main roads are fine too…as someone said it’s whether or not the paths are safe around the stadium…my gut feeling, looking at the forecast is,it will go ahead no problem 🤞

They were fucking terrible at a home game about 6 weeks ago, can't recall who against. People slipping and falling all over the shop and the game was on. Can't see tonight being any different.
