The old 5 loanees is going to be an issue again i see. Good that nearly everyone is fit though Id go .....................Sarkic Sterling....Tuanzebe...Wilmot....Hoever .................Pearson........................ .......Laurent............Thompson........ Brown......Powell (if fit)........Campbell If Powell isnt fit I would go with Lowe, he wont however, we all know it will be Gayle Powell won't be ready for Saturday...... It woudl be Lowe then for me. The alternative is to drop Hoever and play Smallbone and in a 4-1-3-2 or Celina as the 10 . Although I have t say it would be harsh on Hoever. I actually am hoping they just sign Sterling and/or one from Smallbone, Pearson or Sarkic now so all 7 loans can join in, although unlikely

Why would any of those players sign for us while we're dancing with gravity's crocodile?

Why would any of those players sign for us while we're dancing with gravity's crocodile? Sterling would be the one. His deal is up at Chelsea at the end of the season anyway So for instance if Chelsea are going to release him which looks pretty feasible and they are paying him 5k per week for example, we could sign him for 5k per week until the end of the season so taking over his contract if you like. Pretty sure it wouldn't be that simple though, Sterling is probably trying to put himself into the shop window too

Brown will score that occasional goal when played up front and he keeps the defenders busy. In my opinion he is a much better choice than Gayle, who we know won't score goals by now. I also saw promising signs from Campbell yesterday who worked harder defensively than ever before, he took on his man on several occasions and showed his pace, and he even competed for balls in the air. More of that please Ty!

If Tuesday night proved nothing else it is that Tymon can ONLY play as a wing back. He switched form left wing to left back and was equally anonymous in both positions...can we keep building sides around him as a wing back? 4321 seems a better option with the players we have, so that means Tymon misses out IMHO.
I like him, but he doesn't 'fit' in the best line up for this squad.
We've looked best with Smallbone doing the press and Brown and Campbell out wide, Laurent and Pearson behind them with a n other ahead or behind...Gayle/Lowe or Baker/Thompson

I mean that honestly is a ridiculous suggestion. I can count on 1 hand the amount of 17 year old strikers who play first team football and regularly score. Alan Shearer between the ages of 17 and 20 scored 10 in 77 apps. Harry Kane was 12 in 40 apps. 5 of those at League 1 level. Ronaldo was 21 in 123apps. So let’s stick with what we know doesn’t work. Great logic. Its not logic, its evidence.

Sarkic
Sterling Tuanzebe Wilmot Fox
Pearson Smallbone Laurent
Campbell Gayle Brown
Limited with loans, Lowe should get at least 30 mins as a sub for Gayle
Roll on Summer transfer window.

“Desperate trouble” is a bit over the top. We’re currently 9 points clear of the relegation zone. look a the next.4 games Got to fancy Birmingham and maybe Reading to finish below Stoke Can't see Cardiff, Wigan, Huddersfield or Blackpool finishing above us either Rotherham maybe it's a miserable season but 6 to 8 sides beneath us

So let’s stick with what we know doesn’t work. Great logic. Its not logic, its evidence. Of course it is Skip, but Bayern seems to think any youngster with potential that we have is the exception. Lowe is way ahead of most 17 year olds in terms of progression and arguably wouldn't even be where he is now if Tezgel was fit. Both should and will get minutes as the season advances and Neil and his coaches will know better than us as to how to use our resources. My solution would be to push Powell up further with Brown and Campbell around him, but Powell isn't fit yet. Tuanzebe being available and Pearson back will make us a better side and I think we'll ease away from the danger zone in time. There's no reason why Emre and Nathan won't be part of that, but is it likely that we'll have two 18 year olds leading the line next season? No, not very...

He is there by default but it should be merit (on the bench anyway). He is currently the best option to lead the line and that’s all that matters. What evidence, other than he can't be worse than Gayle, is there to say Lowe merits a place? This is a genuine question as I have seen around 15 minutes so far that tells me nothing to say whether he will be good, bad or anything in between. There isn't any evidence. Data of other players who had outstanding careers suggests he is likely to score very few goals at this level at 17. He might get 2. 3 would be bucking the trend. 4 or 5 would be Messi like. More than that and he is in Maradona territory. Jacob Brown will get you 2 before the seasons out.

If it's a case of evidence backed up by data v wishful thinking backed up Bayern logic (TM) there really is no contest. There can only be one truth and at the moment you can safely ignore all data and evidence because the real world simply isn't behaving as it should. However it's just a passing phase - one day the real world will simply give up being so contrarian and dutifully provide the required evidence and data to backup whatever Bayern comes out with next.

I honestly can't fathom why anyone would want to carry on with either of them up front with what we've seen this season.

Too much hustle and bustle done very frantically.

To be fair on him his season has been disrupted by injury and we are moving to a back 4 and it's hard to find a position in a 433 in particular that gets the best out of him. He's shown he can be an effective player at this level but I don't think he fits in with our direction of travel and can see him moving on in the summer. In the right setup he'll do well.

I certainly wouldn't build any team to accommodate Tymon, he's very limited and weak as piss in the challenge, get rid in the summer if any reasonable offers come in..

The alternative being we watch Gayle starting and not scoring for the rest of the season. Obviously in an ideal world he's get eased in, but if he's good enough to be on the bench or get minutes against Brighton and hold his own, he's good enough to get at least half a game. Why not rotate him and Tezgel 45 mins each see how they get on I mean that honestly is a ridiculous suggestion. You've sort of answered your own question there though? Alan Shearer, 77 appearances, Karry Kane 40 appearances. You've got actually make the appearances to get any good! Nobody is expecting him to be score every game.

The stats of some pretty impressive players suggest he unlikely to score more than 1 or 2? How does that make him much better? It doesn't. It's just Bayern again demanding a youth players to start.
